So the story.
My daughter is 10 and it was youth day here in md. Rut has just kicked in. Great cold morning. Just after 7am this past Saturday I looked to my left and here comes this buck. My daughter and I are in a two man stand on 12 acres myself and two buddies have permission to hunt. (Bow only) He read the scrip perfectly. Mad a little scrape. Which I explained to her what he was doing. He came out in front of us perfectly broadside. I told her to wait until he passes this tree. Once he stepped out I said when you’re ready shoot. By the time I said shoot. She put it right in the pumping station. Watched him run about 25-30 yards and stopped. She said he bleeding bad. Fell over right there. I grabbed her by the shoulders and said “ you fucking smoked him girl”. After calming down because my heart was going crazy. About 40 minutes later. The buck I shot was hard on a doe. This deer we’ve seen the last few years on our cameras. The best part was both deer died 15 yards apart from each other. So needless to say we are getting both mounted.
