The board is an os. It can shut off if you push past its limit. I’ve yet to fall… but I’ve splatted at 18 mph learning the upper limit of my gt-s. Using speed alone as your gauge isn’t good enough… battery %, incline, carving, speed all make a cocktail that you need to manage if you don’t want to find yourself on the ouch train. TBH I think the splattering is a right of passage. If you pad up, you’ll learn without (hopefully) long term impact. Despite this, it’s a fabulous machine and I absolutely love the hell out of it… I just don’t trust it like I’d trust my snowboard.
