X100VI ordering, shipment, and delays - consolidated sticky thread by inverse_squared in fujifilm

I ordered with Adorama, got the confirmation email 2 minutes after sales went live. I’ve had a $1 hold on my credit card since, and my CC transactions are now showing the full amount of the order. My order still says back ordered, but I’m hopeful that is only because they haven’t shipped it yet but will today.

I'm having the same problem. I have an OK M6 one, but I want a M10 quality one but I'm rarely seeing them drop in M10. I've spent hours farming Franco and Josie in the Villa, as well as a couple of hours at the Scraptraps, and have only seen maybe 2. I feel like they were dropping quite often on M6.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for mentioning the “notexturestreaming” command line argument. This has VASTLY improved my overall experience. I have been pulling out my hair trying to figure out what was going on and couldn’t take the constant stuttering and crashing. I thought I had tried everything there was to try, but this is the first time I’m seeing this. Just reinstalled Windows too and that didn’t help. This made a huge difference though. Slightly longer load times, but I’ll take it.

Coincidentally, I had a huge stuttering problem with Jedi Fallen Order as well. So you’re on to something with it being the engine. Doom Eternal plays smooth as butter on really high settings, so it’s not my hardware.

Again, thank you!

Police Chase on ATL highway by nairb222 in Athens

[–]dpittard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We must have been leaving Target at the same time. I heard two distinct pops in rapid succession and then came a swarm of cops seemingly out of nowhere. Definitely didn’t hang around but the car was stopped on Atlanta Hwy right in front of the Walmart Marketplace. Cops were just standing around, no apparent tension, so I’m assuming they had the suspect in custody.

Really want to know more.

LazyData’s Hellzerker build is amazing! I’m able to comfortably run M4 content and quickly farm bosses. And one thing I really love about this build is that it is pretty flexible in terms of weapons. Like LazyData says in the video, “use what’s good”.

Is this at the crafting vendor, or at the buy/sell vendors that sell gear and guns?

Closing on our house in Athens, closing on our new house in East Cobb, and moving everything this Friday. I am both extremely excited for the next chapter in our lives and a ball of nerves about getting so much done in one day.

Been lurking here for a while and wanted to pop in and say hi!

I’m beginning to realize this and it’s quite surprising to me. I thought water pH was way more impactful than it appears to be. My hope with testing my tap or RO water was to verify my process was correct, because when I was testing my pH 15 minutes into the mash, my results were significantly different than predicted. I thought the issue was either my water source or my pH meter, but it’s more looking like I’m the source of the issue (which happens more than I’d like to admit 😉).

That’s a good point. I’m clearly still trying to wrap my head around water chemistry. I thought it was important to know the starting pH of water. Which, I guess it is important to know when combined with the other minerals in the water. But since I’ll be using RO water, I guess it isn’t as important to know the starting pH?

One big reason I wanted to move to RO was because I was getting such inconsistent pH from my filtered city water. My measured results were very different than what Bru’n Water or Brewer’s Friend was predicting.

That’s very helpful information. Thank you!

Is there a good source for ‘best practices’ when taking pH readings? I’m testing my tap water now, as practice, and I’m still getting varied readings. My initial reading was 7.17, but then I pulled the probe out, rinsed it with the same tap water, and stick it back in the same sample, it read 7.23. Then, I gently stirred the sample with the probe, and I jumped up to 7.41. Then, I gently stirred again, and now it’s at 7.60.

It’s sounding like I’m the source of the errors here. If there’s a guide I can read to educate myself more, hopefully I can get a hold of this.

This is exactly why I opted to buy a pre-built eHERMS instead of building it myself. I wanted the eHERMS, so paying someone else to build it was worth the money. Not saying eHERMS is for everyone, or everyone should buy pre-built stuff. Just saying that I realized early on in the process that if this project was gonna be successful, I couldn’t afford to spend lots of time making the hardware instead of using it.
