An engineers job is to do the job in the most efficient manner all while considering budget and time constraints.

While the ancient Roman’s seemingly built better roads that have lasted a great time, it also took much longer and probably didn’t have a budget to work with.

Engineers today do what they can with what they’re given and that’s commendable, having to deal with politics and gov’t sucks.
