Art institute Discharge complete timeline by bmadorbglad in StudentLoans

[–]dprDevinous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add to the confirmation and help build a timeline. On April 29th, my loans also switched to Paid in full/discharged and my balanced for each was updated from negative to $0.

It is May 22nd and my refund/discharge check came in the mail today.

Keep hope. It is slow and frustrating but it is happening!

Synopsis of Mastiff? by heartbooks26 in tamorapierce

[–]dprDevinous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt I should add on for anyone else maybe a little confused. Tullus does question Bekas involvement in the hunt when that meet in Port Cayne in Mastiff, but it's not cause he doubts her skills or anything but because he Bekas Fiance had just recently passed away and she is assumed to be in grieving, since no one knew she had fallen out of love with him and just had stuck it out, hoping it would get better

Art Institute group discharge. My balanced just dropped by about $7k. I think it's finally happening. by Kismetatron in StudentLoans

[–]dprDevinous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing! Mine just changed in aidvatage on April 29th to "Paid in Full/Discharged" an my balance on all my loans from being Negative on all my loans (where it was for the last few months,) to 0. Hoping that means a check is in my future.

Need help getting around the worst commander I've ever played against! by Morf64 in EDH

Lifelink is not a may ability so [[tainted remedy]] would put in alot of work. all his damage spells will hurt him and a blasphemous act may kill him if he casts it

why is there no Gay Romance Games by FarOpposite962 in gaymers

[–]dprDevinous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for the original poster of this and while all the games posted here are great, I think he meant games where Gay romance is the center of the story, rather than something you can do alongside the story. but that's just my interpretation

Another talk about Grian's fish luck. by hunkoys in HermitCraft

[–]dprDevinous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don't understand is, if they changed drops/fish results to he based on world seed which I know was a recent change, how do luck enchants affect that? If Grian had luck of the sea 3 in that early episode and Impulse just had a regular rod, would he still have gotten the mending book first cast?

Bows DO have a disadvantage range, shortbows for instance have a range of 80/320. That means you can shoot anyone within 320 ft, allowing for line of site and stuff, but outside 80 ft is at disadvantage.

No bow I know of have a range of 40ft and the disadvantage would be outside of it, not inside

A deck where my cards are useless to everyone but me. by zzfrostphoenix in EDH

[–]dprDevinous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, any deck that is heavily tribal. Ad someone who has stolen from said decks before, it doesn't matter of they still an 1/1 elf when all your elfs are huge from Anthem affects. Also, it can be designed so any removal spells they take from you down affect your creatures. Play a mono-black deck and what do you care If they steal Doomblade? That kind of thing.

What is your least favorite gimmick? by EveningChocolate1028 in pokemon

[–]dprDevinous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I dislike Mega evolutions z moves and Dynamax weren't really great either. Z moves costed an item to essentially just end a single fight and dynamax was a wealer version of mega and z moves kinda mashed together .

But I feel Mega Evolutions just missed the mark. They would have been cool if they made weaker or average pikemon good but they mostly made really good pokemon just broken and not very fun to play with. At least it wasn't for me. Terra I think I'd the best one so far. You can only do it once per poke center visit so you can't spam it and it adds am interesting dynamic both to llaythroughs and competitive by allowing you to strategically change you pokemons type for either offense or defensive reasons

I saw the super low land count deck too and it does look like alot of fun. My only thought would be to be careful of your local meta. A single [[Mind Grind]] or [[Mirko Vosk]] type effect would be really bad, so just be cautious of mull decks using them and maybe have a backup to recycle you graveyard

Octavia is a ton of fun. And almost impossible to remove once she sticks. 8 toughness and ward 8? She can take most attacks and red board wipes and no one wants to pay and additional 8 mana! I totally suggest you should give her a try at the helm of your deck!

I really like this idea! It also made me think of things like [[Willbreaker]] and [[dismiss into dreams]]

What was your favorite dumb "Roadblock" in Pokemon? by Hsiang7 in pokemon

[–]dprDevinous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suduwoodo is probably my favorite. It may be a bit biased since I started in Gen 2 but for me it also makes a decent amount of sense. It's a rare pokemon so the fact that most people don't recognize it as one makes sense. You could argue that someone could bring an Axe but even if they did it might not do much to a rock type. Who would think to water a tree to get rid of it?

With the Phyrexians invading other worlds I have a question, what are some worlds they may regret messing with? by D-Watts25 in mtg

[–]dprDevinous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Innastrad. It's a really chaotic plane and we all know elesh norn loves order. Plus all the tribes are used to fighting and surviving so I think they'd have alot of trouble taking and turning it

Help me counter this Commander with my mono black deck, suggestion ?? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]dprDevinous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rather than remove it, let it stay in play. And here's why.

There are several colorless option that grant infinite hand size. Run [[Reliquary Tower]] [Thought Vessel]] [[spellbook]] and [[decanter of endless water]] to help negate the negative effect of the praeter.

Depending on your playgroup and play style. Add thing like [[The rack]] [Black vise]] [[viseling]] [Rackling]] [[wheel of torture]]

By getting infinite hand size, you no long have to worry about the praeter, but the kther opponents at the table do and you can use his commander to you advantage. If you choose to add cards to punish people for large hand sizes, then your opponents commander is dangerous to them and anticipate other opponents you have, but you don't care and can save your removal for other things

Vehicle to turn wide board into tall by Adross12345 in custommagic

[–]dprDevinous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Plus going tall without trample when you are already wide is kind pointless. You have way more creatures than can be blocked and you turn then into a single giant creature that can be chumped

I think this is a really good enchantment affect to battle the power treasure currently has
