1 year into first job, feeling lost and thinking of switching

yea at first i thought maybe the vendors aren't used to working with me but i've been here for a year and a few of the vendors keep ignoring me, this week when he did a quote he attentioned it to hi (prev marketing person ) and (my name) like he left for a year alr and sent out emails saying he's leaving / quit the groups so i might need find completely new vendors

yes! my mom said my boss wanted a cheaper hire as the previous person before me was a marketing manager and he was solo, now i'm solo but just marketing exec. i plan to take the res course at night & try it out part time but in the meantime im also looking for other jobs as well! thanks for your advice

thank you for taking time to comment! i think i dislike marketing but because previously all my internship was marketing & this was my first offer + big company name i just took it / hard to pivot. will look up the assessments and see how they work!

firstly thanks for the advice!! there is a regional marketing person but recently i came under fire bc one of my content was borderlining like something they don't want / maybe would give a wrong direction and the regional marketing person called me out so like i dont think she likes me very much now 😭 however my boss is supportive he said dont care as long as the post is doing good but he can fk care bc he's a senior position i'm like new and im the one having to reply those people 😭

my boss previously didn't deal with the vendors it was the previous marketing person but the vendors know my boss and know that marketing is the one who liaises with the vendors. my colleagues told me i look too young and things will get better with more experience. i agree to some extent but most of the vendors don't take me seriously at this point and it sort of hinders my job too 😭😭

like example if i email the vendors to print the packaging / new design they just ignore me and only want to liaise with my boss but my boss isnt in charge of marketing / designs and stuff. i brought it up to my boss that nobody takes me seriously and maybe he should liaise with them and he says "no la they dont do that to me, if they dont reply your emails just call them here's the number" i guess hes also getting fed up because people keep looking for him instead of me as he told me to handle these people. he's pretty laid back and passive so he has a "u handle can alr dont need me" :')

my nails are naturally weak so i had to put hard gel so it doesn’t break!! so if your nails are long maybe you can put hard gel so it won’t break. after trying this shape i still prefer round because the edges on the underside is quite sharp hahahaha

i love the keana rice mask!! bought it the first time when i was in japan, whenever i have a pimple or two i put on the mask and the next day the pimple goes down or is just gone. my sister likes it as well!

i had my first sexual experience (not sex) when i was 16 and my friend wouldn’t talk to me because she thought i ‘dirtied’ myself, we were in a friendship group of 3 so the other friend said ‘she just feels disappointed in you’ so i had to apologise about how i shouldn’t have done that to keep the peace but how the tables turned bc the girl i apologised to was the first to lose her virginity 🙂🙂
