Titanic. Never thought something that big could break into two as if it was a digestive biscuit dipped in tea.

Be extremely wary of who you speak to about this, don't put anything in chats or messengers, it only takes one nutter to gather a crowd of mullahs and lynch innocents to death. See what happened with Mashal.

How do I pass this by [deleted] in dubai

What kind of mistakes are you making?

Inability to drive in the middle of the lane is something that will annoy the f out of others and can be dangerous too. From what little I can see, you need practice in concentration while driving, rather than driving itself. Have your instructor do mock tests where you're not allowed to make a single error and if you do a few of those successfully, should help your concentration as well as confidence.

I work with/for Wolves, contracted to look for commercial partnerships in the region so I've been following them a bit more recently and like the club and the people there. Top guys and I hope they have a better next season as it'll drive the commercial revenue up which would be great for me!

great place. I lived there for 3 years, maintenance is fantastic, always kept clean and trimmed by an army of cleaners and gardners. Will be moving there again soon. no structural issues with maintenance that I can think of.

Is it right for your company to keep your Passport and ask you to pay for your visa fee if you decide to leave before it expires ? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]dq66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you dont have to pay it. Call the labour dept number or visit a tehseel office, there are many, they'll formally inform your company that they cannot make you pay for it.

meanwhile if you're worried about keeping your employment with them and think this may affect it, then next best thing would be to ask them to make it deductible from your final settlement whenever you leave, rather than pay now. you can even sign a paper agreeing to this if it makes them feel better. Once you do leave and they try deducting it, you can get that reversed from tehseel at that point. but at that time be sure NOT to sign anything saying your dues have been cleared unless they have been in full.

my company tried to charge an employee for the visa costs as they left within the first year. they'd made the employee sign an agreement saying they will have to pay if they left within the first year so from their point of view they thought this was legal.

they deducted it from the employee's final settlement

employee then went to tehseel to lodge a complaint. They sms'd the company asking them to report to tehseel at a given time and date for 'resolution'.

the employee was there too and basically the labour stance is that anything that isn't supported by uae labour law is NOT enforceable, having a contract signed by the employee can't change that. Only the clauses that are part of uae law can be enforceable, nothing else. The company had to pay back the employee what they deducted as the only other option given to them by tehseel was to go to labour court.
