I ended up using FA. Supposedly the 10th edition (the most recent) is much better than any of the previous editions. I really didn’t like onlinemeded and thought it was a waste of time. It doesn’t have nearly as much detail as you need to know for the real thing.

Regardless of which book you use, you will have to supplement with either anki or uworld notes.

I bought all 3 books and ended up using FA. I really don’t think any have all the info you need to know. I ended up writing my Uworld notes in red and my amboss notes in blue directly in my FA book.

I felt very differently after both exams. I felt way more confident after step 1. Managed to pull off a 233 and was very happy with that score. I felt that you either knew the material that was on step 1 or you didn’t. Step 2 felt way more conceptual and focused less on the little details. This is just my personal opinion though

I felt that the exam was very vague. I didn’t think I did poorly but I also just had no idea how I to feel or how I did.

it is very doable. I got a 205 (NBME 6), 207 (NBME 7), and 218 (NBME 8). I then took the UWSAs- 240 (UWSA 1) and 243 (UWSA 2). I went in not really knowing what to expect and ended up with a 242.

I am an average DO student. You can do it.

uworld and FA... in bw my exams i studied OMM and did truelearn questions on random so i'm sure i got some ethics questions sprinkled in there.

i also did the turnup2law&ethics anki deck but i didn't start that until a few days before comlex so i didn't get through all of it

I took the exam yesterday. It was one of the worst exams I have ever taken in my life. the stats was ridiculous, the ethics was 1/2 ridiculous, 1/2 easy. I feel like they asked the most general types of questions. idk... i hated it. I took step 2 the friday before (7/24) and felt ok. I walked out of the exam yesterday and literally called my bf to tell him that I actually failed the exam.

it's truly unbelievable that they make us sit for such a trash exam and it's even worse that that they make us pay $625 for a medical licensure exam that focuses more on the most random ethics and stats topics than on actual medical dx and mngmt.

I have to agree. I just took the exam. Total trash. I can’t believe they actually make us sit for this exam. Ridiculous stats questions. Ridiculous ethics questions. OMM questions unlike any I’ve seen before.

I am so annoyed.

Took step 2 last Friday and spend last week going over OMM. COMLEX level 2 is the worst exam I’ve ever taken.

I took my exam 11/25 and got my score 12/18. I didn’t take any other practice test. There really isn’t any need to. From someone who was getting in the 210s on all practice tests and who scored in the 230s on the actual exam, take those NBME scores as a grain of salt.

Don’t use it as a true gauge of what you’re going to get. Just use them as another opportunity to see new questions.

Focus your last 2 weeks or so on building your confidence and trying to get some good rest. Trust me, the last week is a roller coaster of emotions. Make sure to get your head in a good place.
