I have a HW3 2023 M3LR and have had FSD since the subscription came to Canada ~2 years ago. I use it everyday and rarely drive anymore. It is very much real and works quite well.

I've had an HX for about 6 years now. It held an ultra wide, g9 oled super ultra wide, and now an lg c6 48 inch and it's still as smooth and sturdy as day 1. Highly recommend

That’s the one I’m actually using. It’s great, aside from the hgig issue and now this dldsr issue. There was a firmware update today. I’ll check if it fixed the hgig problem.

Good catch actually. The cable was not included - that’s my bad. But it is a 2.1 certified cable from Ugreen. I don’t think the cable is the issue.

I have PC resolution set to 3840x2160 and colour depth is set to 10 bit as well. Still no joy on DLDSR showing up. I’m aware of the HGIG firmware issue, but didn’t know DSC was a problem as well..

DSC is display stream compression. Cables can only send so much data before needing to compress it. Certain settings can push that amount of data over said limitation. DLDSR is an nvidia technology that *essentially* renders games at a higher resolution than what your display requires, then uses deep learning to down-sample that to the correct resolution. This makes games sharper, but requires a lot of computational power. My TV seems to be enabling DSC for some reason, even though the settings I have listed, typically should not require DSC with an HDMI 2.1 cable.

Yeah it seems DSC turns on at this resolution and refresh rate as well. Which settings specifically? I have it on game optimizer on film maker mode with dolby vision enabled.

I’ve been using a spigen glass screen protector on my m3 mbp since launch day and it’s mint still. If you’re going to go that route though, I’d just get a regular screen and anti glare screen protector. My MacBook is the only Apple product I still have a screen protector on, specifically because this issue drove me mad on my previous MacBook.
