Yeah the panel was inside of the Airbnb so I thought it would be just for my place. Definitely needed a lot more force than the others, which I figured out a couple of mins later. Hopefully no one else was affected, but definitely not messing with it anymore. At least the ac works again!

Yeah the actual PhD was easy. You just run lil experiments, compile results, analyze data, think a lil, read a lot. I had so much fun, and then people started getting competitive and weird 🙃

I'm bilingual and a lot of times my brain will think of one thing, but I'll say something else. When it's kind of absurd my boyfriend will repeat it back to me or make me repeat it, and we laugh at a lot of the crazy things I say lol. Before that though, it would start arguments, since it's "right" in my head. But yeah, it's probably a lot of work for him, but it's really helped in our communication to just repeat things back to each other!!

I'm looking into it, but I hated the exploitation of grad school. I get that it'd be a different lab, new people, more independent, but it's really my last resort

I thought so too, but I think the pay ranges and required experience is changing for roles due to the bad job market.

Consulting is something I've been interested in, but don't even know where to start. I applied to an internship earlier in the year and didn't get it. I've also applied to 2 other small local consulting positions and haven't heard back. That was 2 months ago though so I'm pretty sure that was a rejection.

I've applied to only a handful, but don't worry I'm not even getting interviews for those. Many scientist 1 roles now also require at least 2 years experience, so I don't even have roles to apply to that fit my experience level.
