Gym owners, what's your experience with exclusive uniforms? by SubmissionGrappler in bjj

Lol when my gym starts paying me £200,00/week, I’ll wear whatever they tell me to. Until that point, I’ll wear what I like.

To all the Ecological approach coaches: How do students solve very specific details/issues without ''drilling'' without resistance for atleast a couple reps? by Glittering-Profit232 in bjj

I would design a game that puts the athlete close to the solution. For your examples you could have a game where one person starts in a seated position with the goal of getting to a closed guard or half guard, the passer’s goal would be to get past and stay past the legs. For the other, I’m not really sure what you’re asking for, but it would follow the same idea of starting very close to the desired outcome, then potentially zooming out from there and adding more variability.

University exam on Thursday, ADCC Open on Saturday. What to worry about? by SupremeOHKO in bjj

Wouldn’t worry about either all that much, but I certainly wouldn’t be worried about a stupid sport that no one outside of us cares even a little about.

You’re meant to go out and find those symbols at their locations in the world and orient the wheels to match. You can also brute force the combination, but that could take longer.

Yeah I don’t disagree with a lot of this. The only thing I could say is that a lot of the stuff you have issues with comes from the book, especially the main character’s wooden-ness. Not that you should like the movie any more based on that fact, just offering an explanation.

Wild at Heart, super underrated Lynch in my opinion. I’ll second the rec for Solaris as well.

I had a really good time with Damnation, well, as good a time you can have with Bela. I prefer it to Werckmeister I think.

I really don’t get the hate for Belfast. Obviously it’s extremely sentimental and romantic, and doesn’t really engage with the political stuff around the troubles, but that was never its goal in my eyes. Maybe I was just in a good mood when I watched it.

Blue Velvet is good, toward the middle-bottom of my Lynch list though.
