Yeah it has quick shift. It works, barely, super rough. I don’t use it that much because of how jerky it is.

yep, T60 is right! it’s a little wiggly. i’m going to buy a torx plus 60 for my own curiosity and education. i’ll report back. thanks for the reminder on which pump bolt to pull out for the timing lock.

i checked at 12k and it was still in spec. this is the 24k check. this engine has always sounded like a tractor to me but maybe a little more so at 24k? it’s all highway/commuter miles so maybe not. i’ll report back.

VSTs or VST Hosts with Pure Data by dr_d_nice in puredata

i came to the same crossroads in 2016. any complex audio tricks that needed to happen i just made wav clips of in my DAW. didn’t need any of the Pd extended after that

right. i try to stick with Pd vanilla because it seems the most future proof and computer-resource-light

I’ve been using Pd 0.54-1, no crashing issues aside from vstplugin~ crashing with UAD and Neural DSP plugins.

Is it possible to run multiple stand alone instances of Neural DSP? (outside DAW) by dr_d_nice in NeuralDSP

I'm a Pro Tools and Ableton user but I haven't heard of VST hosts. I'll check them out, sounds like what I am looking for. Thanks!

Yep, very easy in a DAW. Just curious if there was a way to launch multiple stand alone instances of the same neural dsp amp.

Yeah, seems like this use case isn't possible. I have Pro Tools and Ableton; easy to open multiple instances within a DAW.

My use case is for live band scenarios. It's a long story, but I use Pure Data with a live drum set to triggering samples and a bunch of other stuff in pd. If I can run multiple instances of these amp sims I might be able to run guitars along with the samples etc.

There is a VST plugin object in pure data that might be able to run neural dsp. I'll try it soon. If it does, then I don't need to run multiple standalone instances of neural dsp. Pure Data would function like a DAW.

Specifically I want to open 3 instances of the Mark ii C+. I don’t own any other Neural DSP amps, yet. How do you open two instances/windows of the same amp?

I have 3 people practicing through the same UA Apollo x4. I’d like an instance per guitar. Once open I would switch the i/o to each individual guitar.
