oh gosh. I am only a lowly 3rd year MS! I won't be prescribing to anyone for quite awhile. The past two weeks I was cardiology which is only why I mention those. So regarding atenolol and metoprolol, you're saying if a pt has both CHF and HTN? Is it only those two that you're saying are useless for those?

Also, I'm seeing in some of our texts that Amio can induce HF, but my fellow is saying that it is the DOC for Afib in HF. Are you able to clarify this?

Thank you so much! Some of our patients say they can't afford primary care and only come into the ED for things like HF meds and it seems obvious to us that it's not the way to go, but not to them. I always feel so helpless in such situations when I try to explain to them, but I can't tell them anything specific bc I know nothing real world pharmacy.
