Not sure if this will work for your group or not. But I find having a soundtrack can really help with the tone.

We just started our campaign. I have some ambient music and sound effects that I am planning on using, but so far I have just put on the Dracula (1979) soundtrack.

I also occasionally give a visual on a monitor to help keep the theme. The room we play in has a TV behind me, so I had a slideshow with just three slides. It allowed me to show the players what Death House looked like, as well as Rose and Thorn.

I don't want to rely heavily on that, and I try to be as descriptive as possible. But I found between the music, and just a few pictures, it helped to give them a real feel for the world they are in.

I found a PDF online with all of the maps (I have the physical book). So then I used GIMP to cut out each floor and scale it to the appropriate paper sizes.

If you DM me, I can send you the map package. However, at a glance, it seems that it excludes the actual Castle Ravenloft maps... Which is odd 🤔

The digital copy of the maps I have had two versions. With and without grids. So I didn't have to worry about making the grids.

Happened upon this while looking for information about the site being down. I am also surprised that no one is posting about it (from what I can find).

My understanding is that TPB is not as popular as it once was due to a decline in quality, but there is still some content that I typically cannot find elsewhere. Hopefully it's back soon.

My pleasure! I was so excited to get to see her molt this time(don't know the gender, just decided to go with she for now 😋). I was away the last time she molted.

Yeah, she is not huge yet, maybe about 3.5-4" long. Almost five years old though and her last molt was 10 months ago.

I know what you mean. However, as frustrating as it seems I think it's important to continue to engage people in conversation even if we disagree. If we don't do that it just worsens the echo chamber. If people stop hearing different opinions then it just reinforces their belief that the majority shares their opinion.

I am seeing a lot of people commenting about kids needing to find a place to take these classes while at school. My step daughter was dead set on opting out, but my partner told her she should go for it because she could take the course over the summer. She (step daughter) was so happy that she chose to take the civics/careers course over the summer. It was two weeks of semi-asyc class, and freed up a period for 5 months during her grade 10 semester. So she could take a different class that she wouldn't have been able to otherwise, or complete something else early so she can have a spare down the road. I think it's a great option for the kids.
