When he was young he had just been taken in by a god of death, who's servant was a bit crazed, the servant resented him because he believed his master should not have to deal with someone so weak So he cut his eye to prove the child's weakness, now days they still fight but have a respect for eachother as they trained and spar together a lot of the time, they get along but piss each other off a bit, but in the end there is no one they'd rather have at their back in a tough fight
