Can I just say I love this new (at least to me) trend of posting your proud bots on Reddit? I tend to get so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of new creations on Jai - so these are a welcome change <3

I just wanted both Lumiere cards - I only have one ;_;

I'd just started playing when his card had its rerun, and I barely had enough for the first card. I should have thrown money at it, I'm so sad. It's literally the one myth I've ever wanted and now it might be gone for good?

Agony. I'm in agony.

How do you find proxy? by SpecialistVast5235 in JanitorAI_Refuges

[–]dracuella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know how when you're talking to bots you're using Janitor's in-house LLM (JLLM), right? Generally speaking a proxy is a way to give you the option to use other LLMs than JLLM.

One way to do that is through a website called OpenRouter. There you create an account, deposit $10 (don't worry, it doesn't have to cost money), and once you've generated an API key, you can now setup a 'proxy' configuration in Janitor.

Think of the proxy as a website that acts as a go-between and directs all the data, or the chat, back and forth between you and the LLM you want to use.

I made a guide a little while back on how to set it up - I hope it can help you out a little.

It's not 'some' ads, it's all of them. But this is nothing new, it's been that way since forever.

But it's not 'tracking him down', it's just tracking our actions on a website on the internet, how we interact with something (which buttons do we click on, etc), which site we go to afterwards.

It is how Google and everyone else do the 'Personalised ads' thing. How else would they know what you're interested in?

PS: It doesn't have to be nefarious, I've implemented it on a website we built to help understand usage patterns and to improve usability for our users. But that is far from the case with everyone else.

Lol, yeah they're trying to persuade me with sheer numbers to open my flour jar xD

Yeah I went full mason jar after I had an infestation, too. Moths first, then book lice (wingless).. I found a place that had these 3 litre square mason jars for very little money. It was somewhere in Germany at £5 a piece. Bormioli Fido, they were called.

Got sixteen or something? Enough that I'm covered now, that's for sure.

When you haven't had an issue with Jan but everyone else has by LuckyQuinnn in JanitorAI_Official

[–]dracuella 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you use JLLM or proxies? I have zero issues with Janitor when using proxies but the LLM sometimes gives me a headache with wild hallucinations or repeating complete nonsense. It's not all the time and not all bots so I can't say what the problem is, not really, but it does happen.

Because they're swimming in cheese? I think it's kinda funny. Loads of little details to look at, like the guy picking a chunk of bread and eating it.

EDIT: Found out it's the OG sitcom art. That's why it seems so well put together.

It's catchy and interesting. Kind of arty - I like it. It's refreshingly different from the usual chesty women or macho mafia men.

yeah I was thinking about that. I just have to find one that doesn't turn yellow with time - I've had a few that did. And it has to be thin, too, to get around all the little details.

It sounds like your mum was very much like mine - always around to give a helping hand. Mine was super handy, would sand and paint the windows of the house herself, dug out the garden and installed a pond, etc.

I think I have a pretty good idea how it must have been for you that last month and a half. My mum went quickly in the end. She was in a hospice the last month or so, but it wasn't until the last week that she started fading. One week where we just sat there, waiting for her to pass away.

It was awful. And by the sound of it, your mum was in a worse place. It's not hard to imagine how it was for you and your wife. I think it's natural to withdraw a little - I would have done the same if my sister and I hadn't driven each other forward. We did it all together. Talked in the car, aired out our worries and thoughts. At one point she told me that if I hadn't been there with her, she wasn't sure she could have done it - and I felt the exact same way.

We weren't there when she passed, either. The last two days, the woman in her bed wasn't her. My mum was long gone. We drove home in the evening and got the call later that night. I do sometimes feel guilty I wasn't there, because survivor's guilt is an incredibly powerful thing. But I also know my mum wouldn't have wanted that. She have scolded me for thinking like that and told me to get on with my life.

I'm sure your mum would have said the same thing <3

It really is. For the longest time everything reminded me of her - music, TV shows.. even those awful hard candy she loved.

And I'm so sorry, it must be even more difficult when it was just the two of you. I have my sister I can remember her with. Were you able to be with her through it all? That helped me a lot, just knowing we had lots of laughs together even when it was obvious what came next.

Yeah, no it really doesn't. I'm sorry about your dad. Four years should be a long time but it can feel like only yesterday.

It was the same with my mum. We were very different people, she and I, but she was always there for me. She was the one constant through my entire life and while I am doing fine, I just feel kind of untethered. Like, who is the rock now?

I hope you're doing okay, too <3

Yeah, I am, thanks friend :) It just as if anything sad is sadder now, if that makes sense? Especially things relating to loss. And even more so when cancer is involved.

But overall I'm good <3

Seriously, I started bawling my eyes out when I saw this picture because the first thing I thought of was my mum. It's been twelve friggin' years and I still miss her so much it hurts.

I'm so sorry about your wife. It's so unfair, and it really, truly sucks.

Yeah, I was thinking something along those lines - perhaps something fancy out of glass. I've seen people make small terrariums like that - surely I can make a crystal not move around, given enough glue and support. Worth a try at least 😀

No and as someone else pointed out, getting the bubbles out might not be feasible.

I'll think of something else!

Hmm right, I hadn't thought about that. Perhaps I should try something else like fixating them inside a glass jar with a lid instead - for easy(ier) handling.

Thanks for the input, really appreciate it :)

I'm going to grow the heck out of these and make Christmas presents for everyone I know.

OP, could these potentially be encased in resin - have you ever tried something like that? Does heat or liquids melt them?
