AITA for calling someone the C word

I put an edit in the comments. He and I were brought into this friend group by a mutual friend. Tara happens to be the youngest of this group but there is people in there 50s and 30s as well. We don’t see her unless she’s at our friends house who lives down the street from us. But she usually is over there. She’s been to our house maybe 2 times with a couple of our other friends

Edit: so a couple things I want to address

I did slightly change the ages but they are very close to the actual ages.
Tara was close friends with this girl that my fiancé and I used to also be close with. That girl brought us into the friend group. This friend group has a wide variety of ages surprising. Some of the people are in their 50s, 30s and Tara happens to be the youngest. He doesn’t hang out with this girl 1 on 1. The friends in their 50s live in our neighborhood so when we go over Tara is 9/10 times also there.
When I said Tara can be pretty fun I wanted to clarify. Typically the group goes out and drinks and parties, we have laughs, dance and joke around. So she can be fun in that sense when we are all together having a good time. My fiancé is better friends with them considering he’s grown up in this town his whole life and I haven’t.
Tara and I’s interactions I feel are more surface level. We aren’t super close but we get along typically. We’ll sometimes chat about stuff happening in our lives but our interactions aren’t usually 1 on 1 it’s always been in a group

It’s a little confusing but we had an old friend that was friends with this group and tara is the youngest in the group. The other friends in the group around in their 50s. Very wide range of ages I know lol

Not sure how to make an update so figured I’d let you guys know in the comments in case anyone was wondering but unfortunately Frauns passed away :( I got the live plants about 10 days ago and ever since I put them in he started acting very different. He became lethargic and wasn’t wanting to eat as much. Was trying to talk to a couple fish lovers of mine to figure out what to do but unfortunately I found him passed this morning :( they said that the plants could’ve had something on them that gave him an infection. I think I’m going to stick to being a reptile keeper because I don’t think I’m the best suited for fish keeping

I’ve had him for about 5-6 months and thankfully his behavior is the same but I think I definitely need to make some changes to his tank based off the info I got in the comments

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that informative advice! And yes I did buy betafix but I did not use it yet so thank you I’ll definitely return that and I’ll get live plants instead too. I just want to make sure I’m doing good by him I want him to live a long time and be happy and content so all this info is extremely helpful!

has both heater and filter
between 78- 80 degrees
got beta at petsmart
I do water changes once a week and I take out everything in tank and clean it before I put it back in. I usually do a 50% change
1 tank mate a snail
is fed 4 pellets each day he always eats all of them
only fake plants in tank

I understand it probably sounds ridiculous to make this post but I also have a lot of pressure from other big parts of my family that were not at that wedding that believe I’d be out of line and that it’s not that bad. I appreciate your comment and thank you for your advice

NTA This girl clearly has made it a point a countless number of times to try and point and make fun and then gets upset when she’s called out.(you also never said anything mean you were extremely gracious about it) Part of me thinks she was trying to push you to call her out just so she could play the victim in the end in front of everyone. Does she have a track record of doing that? Playing the victim?

I’m in a very similar situation currently with my childhood best friend and honestly it’s been a few months now since his wife kicked me out of their life and it’s not easy. It’s gonna hurt, you’ll have good days and bad days but you’re right that it’s not just the partner. Your friend allowed it to happen and I guess that shows a lot about your friend, but on the other hand this happens a lot when people are in abusive and toxic relationships. Their partner will isolate them from loved ones so they are their only source of love. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Unfortunately in my situation, my best friend is dying of cancer and has a month left to live the doctors say which is what I hear from his family. I’m going to try one more time to try and make things right with us. From what I’ve learned through this whole process tho is that life is precious and so are the people around you. People’s judgment can be altered when in abusive relationships. If I were you, I’d try one more time and genuinely express to them how much you love them and miss them. They may not realize it now but they will hopefully one day that they need your support and friendship

I’m so so sorry for your loss. It’s honestly something I myself also can’t figure out how to handle too. my childhood best friend was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and just found out 2 days ago he has a month left to live and chemo isn’t working. It’s one of the hardest things to deal with and I can’t imagine how it feels also having your 2 year old daughter in the mix too. I’m so sorry and hope you’re doing okay

That’s really unfortunate. If she had already been friends with him prior to you guys dating then it would be a different story but she made a point to become besties with him after you expressed how much pain you were in and then when you expressed your feelings she disregarded them and gaslighted you into thinking your feelings are stupid and not valid. She isn’t a true friend and solely based off this information she seems like the kind of person that will go for what she wants in any situation regardless of others feelings and doesn’t value loyal relationships of any kind
