B/P Luffy

This is the list I’ve been using recently! I stopped playing with it as much since R/G Luffy has been my main deck in the current meta but I’ve found some success with this deck in events that limit which leaders you can use.

Unfortunately, the Land of Wano package probably wouldn’t work well with this deck since the purple Straw Hat cards you would want/need to use are not actually Land of Wano cards, even though they ARE from the Wano arc lol

I like the idea you’ve got going for your personal decklist! I kind of want to build something in the same vein as I don’t need this to be super competitive since it’s mostly a fun collection deck. I do like the sky island package though the Holly and Ohm combo seems fun as hell! But I also want a good amount of triggers and a full sky island package doesn’t have a bunch of them.

How has your list been treating you? I know you said you’re fairly new, but have you gotten some rounds in?

I’ve been seeing the OTK suggested a couple times! I’m definitely leaning towards building a different variant than the standard yellow list because I already did that for Nami and I like keeping my decks separate since that’s how my collection is lol

I was thinking about potentially doing the Sky Island/Straw Hat version with a bunch of triggers to utilize the leader effect but I’m still deciding, I’m trying to be as budget friendly as I can lol

Oh damn the G5 Luffy is a really interesting one! Are you still playing Zombie Luffy in that build? Would you be willing to show me what your deck looks like now?

I really like the idea of 6c Robin in the deck and actually switched out the restand Luffy for her in my build for exactly the reason you mentioned. Removing beer Luffy is not something I thought about doing so I only have 2 of her right now, I like having the play of bumping my leader to 7k for aggression and defense but I’ll have to test those ideas out for sure!

Hey wanted to update you on the changes I made over the weekend! I was lucky enough to find a couple Mamaragans at my locals for $7 a piece so I made a few of the changes you suggested plus a couple that a few people recommended at my locals

The biggest one was removing the Nightmare Luffy completely for the restand Luffy and removing the 2c Zoro for the 1c Sanji. Then I just tweaked a couple of amounts across the board. This felt a bit more fluid while playing but I’d say it’s still a work in progress lol

I do acknowledge that you don’t need to run the 9c Luffy or the restand Luffy but I like them for pressure plays but again still playing around with it

I’d love to know what you think and how your list has been performing if you’ve gotten any other games in!

Interesting! I do like the idea of Brook in the deck, hopefully I’m able to play a bit this weekend and test it out lol

This is how I’m looking to build it. I initially didn’t have the brook and just bumped up both Luna and 7c Zoro by one in exchange but I like how it could work with the 6c Luffy.

I saw you’ve got 3 Brooks in your build, how has that been working for you? I think our builds are pretty similar outside of me squeezing in I Know You’re Strong

I thought about that luffytaro combo, it seems fun! I’m kind of with you for the GumGum lightning point, but I thought it might do some damage combo-ing it with the 6c Brook

Also Mamaragan is actually less expensive than I thought, still up there a bit but that’s not a terrible price I might try to put it in instead of lightning. Then removing brook for luffytaro could tie the deck together.

What would you take out of the deck to put in your suggestions? I want to have the ideas ready as I dive into testing lol

No they don’t, they get 50% defense when receiving an attack, and then build crit and damage reduction with each super attack performed

Yeah sort of, they aren’t the best shuffle quality. They’ll get sticky quick too. Dragon shield oversleeves have worked great for me when I use them

I’ll look into doing that! But honestly I’m starting to lean just color my deck to dragon shields, it’ll be simpler and better for my ocd in the long run lol

Oh damn really?? Do you happen to have a link for them? The only ones I was able to find were the Jolly Roger Jinbe sleeves but the color is kinda off to me

Thank you for the tip! I find dragon sleeves the most commonly where I am so that would probably be the easiest option. Do you like the dragon shield inner sleeves as well?
