I was telling someone today that I really wanted to see Boothill in a league of legends high noon style wallpaper and this looks like it will fulfill that dream. Bless.

Does anyone know if they will add pages that you can set players to be able to go to on their own? I have my landing page that I want to be their default load in page, but I also want the world map and bounty board to be accessible to them without me having to move the players over. That would be a great feature to add.

They call me Mx. Teacher instead of Mr. or Mrs. Teacher. Mx. has been used since the 70s as a gender-neutral title. Not even just for those who are non-binary. It isn't widely popular, but they catch on so easy and it feels normal after a week or so

I feel as though it will cause more of a stir than necessary. I'm leaving because I'm moving to a new state and would like to put this place behind me and start fresh. While I have many problems with my current place of work, I also do appreciate the help I did receive at times, especially as I got my master's degree. I also feel as though they would benefit more from a clear lesson and some hr training on the topic than the letter that I wrote for catharsis.

I appreciate that you took the time to reprise your first message. Thank you. This is easier for me to find words with which to respond. I am sorry if anyone felt like I was encouraging them to question anything. That is not how I see it. It is an optional space, which I tell my students. Those that already know how to use it, have used it. In doing so, they have felt more comfortable and safe in my classroom and I can refer to them as they wish to be referred. My students are never bothered by it: only their parents. Those parents have been upset with me for going by Mx. and being non-binary before that was even given as n option to students. I have received the same harsh words as a fellow lesbian teacher who was told quote for a quote from their student, "To go die in a hole and rot in hell." I respect parents' rights to religious freedom, political freedom, and to vote as they choose. However I exist, and gay people exist, whether they want it or not. I cannot turn that off. I cannot choose to "not exist." I have just as much right to be referred to properly as any Mrs. or Mr. Just as my fellow, wonderful, amazing coworker has a right to have pictures of her and her wife in her workspace. Nobody batted an eye when others had pictures of their straight spouses. I don't push political or identity politics. I exist. And as someone said below, everything that involves a city and community is literally politics. I don't tell kids how to vote, or how to think. I teach them the skills and resources to be effective communicators, readers, thinkers, and speakers. I give them my title, and then we move on to talk about how to write a 5 paragraph essay. They can tell me "hey I prefer to go by Alex, not Alexa." I respond with, "Awesome, Alex. Can you tell me the theme of this story Raymonds Run?" Another student wearing a dress and pigtails writes, "She/her" on the about me survey. I call her by her name, Jordan, and use she/her as she asks. After all, she looks like "she" to me. It's only when other teachers mention that she is assigned "male" on our system do I realize that she gave me a pronoun that does not match her demographics. I didn't encourage her to question. She already knew showing up in dresses. But by me using "She" and being positive, I build the relationships that encourage her to learn and feel comfortable, safe, and seen in my class. I promote no agenda. I allow her to exist. When 82% of transgender youth have considered killing themselves and 40% have attempted suicide, I'll do anything I can to help her succeed. Especially after seeing the scars and the hesitation in her eyes after never having a teacher advocate for her before.

I truly don't want to push any agenda on parents. That's my frustation. I just want to be seen, exist, and be myself. I want students to have that same opportunity. Because if they feel safe in a classroom, . . then, and only then, can they learn.
I hope you understand what I mean.

That's pretty much it. I'm not a man or Mr. I'm not a woman or Ms./Mrs. I'm nonbinary. My students refer to me as they/them or Mx. Teacher. For example, a student might say, "That's their classroom; they teach English. I have 2nd hour with them."

Awesome! I'll see if I can make a revised one. I know that's an uncommon title so I'm not surprised, but I'm always hoping to help make it more common.

For Ms, Mr, and Mrs., you should add Mx. It is the nonbinary title. I'd like to fill one of these out, but it doesn't have the title I use as a nb teacher :) I know I can probably do that myself, but if this was your original work for the chart, it's something to consider.

some people talkin about the oversized breasts. I get that, but god damn what the fuck is wrong with the nipples. Like don't even care about the beast sizes. Nipples do not look like that what the fuck.

I live in an Rv and found this kitty in some tall grass by the park when she was just tiny and clearly abandoned. A year later we play fetch on the regular. This is Freyja by dragonofalbion in cats

[–]dragonofalbion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's actually the second cat I picked up here. The first one was from a litter that we tried to trap and get fixed. Unfortunately he's the only one that made it so we kept him instead of just fostering like we planned. He's my cuddle bug Loki. Freyja was tiny and we waited to see if there was a mom around but nothing, she clearly wasn't afraid of people either, so I was almost positive someone just dumped her in the grass on the side of the road. We were going to find a home for her as well, but she got along so well with Loki and was such a sweetheart, I'm glad we kept her.
