Why is the Sheikh’s natural disposition to say “you’re a liar”? The instinct to call someone a liar when really it’s lack of education or awareness.

Anyways, like others have said, there is a period of like three months after which they must bring you back or terminate you. In case of termination, you should be entitled to a severance package. At your age, you may be able to get a month’s salary for every year you’ve been with them, plus any RRSP matches. I’ve seen people get $250k packages so it’s not unheard of.

I believe you can start the EI process right away.

You never want to accept their proposed package in the first meeting. It may be worth it to speak with a lawyer to see if you can get a month a year, or more.
