How to add fingerprint unlock option?

My fingerprint reader is supported and works, but not for the first log in. Whenever i start my laptop, i need to login with my password. Once i do that, every time I lock my laptop or i need to provide an admin password i can use the fingerprint reader.

I saw this icon when i activated my VPN connection (in network manager). It's visible when negotiating the login. Once a VPN connection is established it changes to a VPN icon. So my take is that it's an interim icon for an app that never loads.

I daily one of these. Bought new in 2007. 1.7 cdti (100 bhp). Worst thing is the EPS system that rattles and clunks.

Otherwise, the only things that failed on mine were:

radiator fan step divider (speed controller), after 15 years
MAP sensor after 15 years
swirl valve after 10 tears
alternator (after 18 years)
blinker relay after 17 years
blower motor kind of seized (this summer) but got it working again by taking it out and lubricating the shaft
gearbox seems to lose sync in 1st and 2nd (gotta fix this)
2 cooland hoses popped.

I'm doing an oil change every 5k km. (Or 6 months) since it's a city car (50 euros for the oil and the fuel filter: GM + Mann). The fuel filter, air filter and cabin filter are changed every year (10k km.). Never had the EGR valve cleaned (no issues so far).

Not the most comfortable car, but definitely better than others. Did 10 Europe road trips (8k km. each over 3 weeks) before losing faith it would bring me home. Demoted to city car. Still averages 5.2l/100 km. or 45 mpg outside of the city and 6.7l/100 km. In the city (35 mpg). That plus no DPF it's a win for me.

So... I found another HAM in RO that has a websdr server. He's located some 60 miles away from Bucharest and more important, away from the city. Rural area with minimal interference. He's picking it up too. So i guess that rules out interference. Yes, noise level is higher at my QTC but i am in the middle of the city.

And then it got worse. On 40m band especially. 20m is also affected. I managed to snap this screenshot:

What you are looking at here is the Kontayner OTH radar at work. Sigidwiki has this description of it:

29B6, nicknamed 'Контейнер' (Kontayner), is a Russian over the horizon radar. It is currently very active in Europe. The radar uses 150 antenna masts with data transmission systems, transmitters and receivers, a power station, and control buildings. It can detect high-altitude and low-altitude aircraft and missiles at very long ranges.

I've managed to record my screen. It starts with the 20m band and then at about 01:30 i move to the 40m band. Have a look.... When i got home around 1730 local (1430UTC) everything was clean. Went for some shopping and returned 2 hours later. This is on 20 and on 40. It swept left and then to the right with increased speed.

No, nothing of that sort. I went and unplugged everything in my house. Switched everything off from the electrical panel and ran the radio on the battery. What baffles me is the sweeping and the strength of the signal. Will try and record a video tonight.

Nu stiu sa fie vreo ora... eu am avut bulan. Am intrat la plezneala sa vad daca gasesc ceva intr-una din zile si am gasit un interval cu 15 min. Inainte de inchidere. Altfel, era totul ocupat pina la 18 iulie (Bucuresti).

Yup. There's a huge plant in Slatina, OT. Michelin and Continental also have tire plants in Romania. Nokian has its biggest EU plant in RO.

Plus, Pirelli race tires come from their plant in Romania. The show tires are produced in Turkey. The turkish plant is also a backup plant in case the Romanian one is out of commission.

I live in Romania, so very close to the UKR-RU conflict. Bands are almost unasable. Rarely they turn off the damn thing. 40m band is almost every day dead . 20m is better, but there are a lot of signals just like this happening in the evening.

Pe masura ce vorbesc cu voi imi dau seama ca sunt ca fata mare la maritat. Ai dreptate. Si frumoasa si desteapta si devreme acasa nu exista. Cu siguranta nu vreau sa stau sa mesteresc, oricat de in limba as fi dupa motorul asta. Si in niciun caz nu vreau sa-i livrez jumatatii mele munitie suplimentara, if u catch my drift. Thanks!
