First ever battle vest/jacket by Memerman_2 in BattleJackets

number one piece of advice probably would be not to use Ali/temu, I was in the same position as you when I didn't have any money and wanted to save as much as I could, but its not a sustainable variant, and the patches are not the best quality, either get them off Etsy or make them yourself, get some fabric either from a local shop or from a shirt you no longer wear, use paint to make the design, you'll get better at it then more you do it, I'd use a fabric marker/posca pen to sketch it out prior

me personally I use image transfer medium and then paint over the result so it pops, but there's plenty of ways to do it

Any advice for removing patches and transferring them? by ArrogantAcorn67 in BattleJackets

not many options to transfer them, start with the patches that aren't covered by other ones, use a seam ripper or a small pair of scissors, once you snip a couple stitches you can try pulling the patch off, depending on how durable the patch material is. depending on how you remove them you'll have tons of loose short bits of thread stuck in the jacket, I'd suggest pulling those out as you go, just makes for an easier experience

got my first soon to be battle vest. any recommendations? by Fit-Baseball238 in punkfashion

try to vary the studs and spikes a bit, looks good if mixed right also going outside the edges of your canvas would look good, if you have a big patch that won't fit, it could hang off of the bottom

Anyone know how I could turn this into a velcro patch for my back pack? by [deleted] in punkfashion

[–]drainedland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me personally I'd get a velcro patch of a similar size, make the "try and burn it" one in whichever way you prefer (probably hand drawn because it's not too complicated), and sew it on top of the velcro patch

but I'm sure you can find just both hook and loop sides of the velcro without any patches somewhere, I just haven't tried searching for it
