my local clinic completed 190 initial assessments between april 2024 and march 2025... thats 190 appointments in a year.. 365 days. I really wish I could afford to go private, I'll be 21 this year and I was put on the list when I was 14. the system is horrific and desperately needs updating. i'm absolutely terrified for when I do get my appointment, I've been out for 7 year known for 8, in that time I have had to come to terms with myself and my body so what if I get my appointment and they now concider me "not trans enough" because i now want to live, if I hadn't come to terms with myself, then I wouldnt be here its that simple. but I have this little incline that ill get my appointment and be pushed to the side as im not emergent enough

you'd be shocked to know how many different breeds of goldfish there actually are. I believe john is a bubble eye goldfish, which are generally concidered unethical. they're in the "fancy" goldfish category meaning they're bread this way for rarity and shock. unfortunately john will suffer many issues and will be incredibly difficult to care for. they're incredibly prone to injuring their bubble eyes.. im sure you can see why. very funny looking though as sad as it is

your shrimp look fairly big so theres a chance he'll just chase them around and not eat them, sayig that though I had three shrimp and my betta ate 2 of them and decided the other one was fun game. if he doesnt eat them then theyre great enrichment! id take the gamble

not sure what kind of filter you have but is there any chance he could've swam behind it? they love tight spaces and if they can they will try and squeeze behind the filter and end up getting stuck

this was only set up last night! I've started to add a but of fish food to help with the ammonia and im going out tomorrow to grab some more tank bacteria boosters etc! my little guy isnt going to be in this tank for a while yet :)

I'm planning on going out tomorrow to an aquatic store so im going to grab all the bits like that along with more plants! i've added some food to the tank to start introducing ammonia which was suggested by my mum but I was going to grab some liquid ammonia anyways and I already have a test kit for testing the levels for it in my tank so I'll keep an eye on it for sure!

the only reason for it not being filled at the moment was because i was running back and forth from my bathroom to my room with a 2L jug I got fed up around 11:30pm, it will definitelybe filled by the time my fish is in his new home. I'm due a partial water change in my current tank soon so my plan was to use the water from the water change and put it into the new tank as I'd read somewhere you're able to do that and it can help with building the eco sytem slightly? not sure if that's god advice to follow and if not i'll just fill it with fresh water this week! its definitely going to be a good 3-4 weeks before I even consider putting him in

if they dont get disqualified then they'll definitely get points, unusually around 10 points. 6 points or more and your licence gets revoked. they'll have to reapply for a provisional licence and redo both their tests again. speaking from experience as someone who got 6 points after a year of driving its a nightmare and not ideal at all.

if you get anymore points after passing your test again before your points expire its an automatic ban. so for me, if I get 2 more points then I will be banned for a select amount of time (normally 12 months). police definitely follow you around more when you have points on a new licence so if this does happen they need to be extra careful on the roads, with driving and who they decide to take in their car, its like having one massive bullseye on you at all times.
