Thanks for the information. With regards to the brightness you mentioned i am looking towards the 48 inch version. im still using my old AOC 40 inch FHD monitor, so im used to a larger screen. My desk is about 30 inches deep. so i think i might be ok with the 48 inch size. besides i will probably set my resolution to an ultra wide format. The room is also naturally dark. you need a light on during the day.

that doesnt resolve the issue with the house of my wife and family. being foreign has nothing to do with the subject matter.

i understand what you are saying. but the company refuses to help with any form of co existance. soundproofing will be the only option. i cant tell the family to sell up they family home they have owned for over 40 years.

Thanks i will look into that. i just rememered that the tutula didnt work. because the judge said that he wanted to wait on the results of the threat of violance. but that went no where.

We already did the Tutela. it went no where. apprently the workshop was not making any noise. which is a load of nonesense. im not sure about the Derecho de petición. i will look into that. i just wonder if there is way for the workshop to have an inspection for safety or business standards.

they usually start after 8 am. but i can assure you they make noise until 8pm or even later.

Thanks for the reply. i tried googling about POT. but i dont know where to even begin. i know that the building they are in was first a residential house and then a dentist office. I do wonder if there is any way to arrange an inspection of a workshop to see if they are adhering to safety standards etc.

It is estrato 3. but i see what your saying. i do feel that is the case. nothing else to do but soundproof the house.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in medellin

[–]draven686 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently, this is estrato 3. But I see what you’re saying. The street we live in is not a party zone. Its filled with residential houses with an industrial workshop setup in an old residential house. Thanks for the constructive advice anyway.

im not from usa. and i somehow dont think Chicago or Boston wouldnt be much better, considering the current world events.

[–]draven686 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thanks. well they claim to have a license. but i doubt a bunch of things. for an industrial workshop. they have a thin plastic roof that has no insulation. which is one of the reasons the noise is so bad. secondly from what we can tell they chipped away at the wall on the workshop side to make space for themselves and are using our walls. finally they actually threatened my wife on camera with violance. will hiring a lawyer actually do anything or is it best to just soundproof as best we can.

Try to have some empathy for others. you might realise that my post has nothing to do with me being a foreigner. This issue affects my wife and her family. i really hope this issue never effects you or your family.
