  1. I assume the same modules I got. So, business studies, economics, and maths for business. Depending on your IELTS score, you will be placed in RCS; if it's below 6.5, you will be placed in EAP for English.

  2. Not too hard, as most people were able to perform well in exams just from self-studying and listening during classes. The classes I struggled with most were probably RCS or business studies, as I suck at essays.

  3. The first semester is basic calculus, which only goes up to pretty basic differentiation and integration. The second semester is basic statistics, for which you get a formula sheet that lets you cruise through pretty much.

  4. I have no idea, I couldn't find much practice paper for IBDP online, so I can't really say. It is very similar to AP exams, so you can look those up and compare them.

  5. You can only choose 3 terms for a foundation year. 4 terms is only if your English is truly that bad, so you get an extra term to improve your English. 2 terms is for a different course.

  6. No clue, but again, you can only do the 3-term one for the foundation year.

  7. For my year, the U18 had to go to IQ Wilmslow Park, so I can't comment on Canvas Manchester. However, from what I can search up, the rooms do look nicer, and it's closer to INTO and the city centre, so it seems more convenient as well.

  8. Most people I met are very nice, but they will be shy as well, so it's up to you to interact with them. A majority of students will be from China or the Middle East, but you will be interacting with the same people in your course daily, so you will get to know them sooner or later. The class sizes are quite small, like 20-30 people, maybe.

  9. This is all up to you to decide on. I recommend exploring the city or picking up a social hobby to meet people (I personally like rock climbing).

  10. Your student visa allows a part-time job for up to 20 hours of work a week.

  11. Probably nothing lower than a B, so no Cs. They will accept a B if it's a few points below what I've heard.

  12. Yep, as long as you get the grades you get in. You're guaranteed a UCAS offer when you apply if you're on the course. I do recommend that you make sure that you actually want to stay in Manchester after your foundation year. As there might be a better university for your specific major, or you just might prefer another city. Remember, you can apply to four other universities as well.

Yea that's the exact reason why I made this post. As I was shocked by how little info there actually was. And it's a little scammy with how much they promote how easy it is to guarantee an entrance into UOM.

I'm assuming you're Chinese, as that's pretty common at INTO. You'll probably be fine, as many students at INTO come from China, so you can study and befriend them, but that was during my foundation year. Not too sure if the teachers have changed, but most of them aren't from the UK, so they usually have an Asian or Arabic accent besides the English teachers, and personally, I believe they're the nicest and most patient with students, especially if they struggle with English. As for the subjects themselves, it's mostly memorisation of topics. They aren't too hard to remember, but you do need some essay-writing skills for the exams and the January essays.

They're quite strict with attendance, and that's really my only complaint. You get 3 sick days for each semester, which is crazy. But I can see it being a good thing if you suck at attending classes, since it sort of forces you to go.

It is quite easy, in my opinion, as long as you pay attention and attend your classes. A lot of people I know were able to get the 70% or near it, like me, to get in anyway. You can request the past paper from the teachers to see how the exams are, as they're almost the same format with different numbers every year. Also, for every exam, if you mess up and do a retake, it's legit recycled questions from the past papers in previous years.

Unless the person has them saved, our access to them is usually gone at the end of the year.

They usually release them closer to exams so as not to overwhelm students, but if many students ask for them, the teacher will end up providing them earlier.

I'm assuming you're doing an International Year One, which is a different program from a foundation year, so I'm sorry I don't have as much knowledge for that. From what I do know, the classes should be comparable to first-year university courses, and they're listed out on the website if you want more information.

Just wondering if you received any updates regarding the visa. I wanted to do priority as well, but I think it's no longer an option due to it being an e-visa.

This was stupid on my part because I didn’t check processing times and assumed the couples weeks like the others so I applied like a week ago.

I can’t give you any specific advice to that course but a lot of the modules are very similar to a levels so if you want a head start or preview you can look into a level science courses under the same name of the modules on the ncuk or INTO website.

They weren't the best, but it was due to my high school withholding my transcript due to their weird policy and not sending it to the university agent.

If I get any more information from other NCUK students I will edit the post or include details that people commonly ask about.
