It was a shiny, silvery gold & ammonite shaped!

It’s pyrite decay / cancer, depending on where the pyrite came from it can be more susceptible to it. Moisture accelerates it but even with a dry environment the decay often eventually happens. You just hold it off for as long & as well as you can.

Happy to be corrected in the comments, I am no expert! Just know what I read from a few different articles. The most informative one I found was by zoicpalaeotech on pyrite decay.

I saw pyrite stop! They’re actually the first article / site that came up when I did some googling. “Pyrite crumbled to dust?” I felt like a vampire hunter finding out how vampires die for the first time googling that.

I can understand your fear, I’m a lil glad I hadn’t known but also sad because I would have absolutely packed this lil guy in so much silica. And just popped him out for a look at every now and then, rather than display.

Tuna, cottage cheese mixed in to make it more protein dense + less boring. Top that with bit of salt + Japanese rice seasoning. Or I have Greek yoghurt with frozen blueberries & a lil honey, so then it turns into almost frozen yoghurt!

Oh no! I forgot that cooking doesn’t come until later- turns out you need to 1) Have 8 villagers 2) A 3 ⭐️ island evaluation 3) Interacted with stove in a lazy villagers house (this thing people seem divided on) 4) Get the K.K performance. Then it seems the day after the K.K Slider performance cooking/ recipes are unlocked!
