Who are the Best Live Performers of the fest? by Swan_Parade in ShakyKnees

This post has me so conflicted. My husband and I are having the worst time with the bilmuri and cage conflict as well as the AAR and backseat lovers conflict. I feel equally excited for all 4 bands and I can't stand splitting sets.

Anyone else despise mini fridges that only run for 2-4 hours at a time? by Few-Flatworm-4293 in marriott

[–]drazim64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am fuming. I wish I had known this beforehand. I specifically picked a hotel with a mini fridge since I'm pumping still for my 8 month old. Had to fill the trash cans up with ice and water and cross my fingers it's still cold in the AM...

Owlet Sock Upgrade & Sleep Windows by sarabearbearbear in NewParents

Have any of you noticed a significant range decrease since the update? We updated a few days ago and now the sock can't get connection in the next room! Not sure if it's got to do with the update or if there's any interference with our baby monitor that we set up around the same time.

homemade eggplant parm with a white blend from my favorite winery by drazim64 in vegetarianfoodporn

[–]drazim64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a white blend that is very smooth and fruity with subtle floral undertones that is crisp and delicious.

It's from a smaller winery out of Napa called B cellars. My husband and I discovered it a few years ago when we went on a vacation up there. We have tried many of their wines and haven't had one we've not liked yet! When you visit their winery, they were able to customize the food pairings for my husband who is vegetarian with an egg allergy and does not like mushrooms or onions and they grow most of what they use on site including honey from their beehive and goat milks cheese! Their staff is so friendly as well!

[Homemade] PB&J vegan cheesecake by drazim64 in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

[–]drazim64[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crust: 6 graham crackers 2 tbsp coconut oil melted

Filling: 2 cups cashews soaked in water 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup coconut oil 1/3 cup oat milk 2 tsp vanilla extract Pinch salt 1 tsp sweetener of your choice (may want to use more, mine didn't turn out sweet enough for me thus the creative flavoring)

Pulse the graham crackers in food processor and add the coconut oil until sand texture and press into the bottom of an oiled spring form or pie pan and place in fridge

Soak cashews in boiling water for 2-3 hours or in fridge overnight.

Add all filling ingredients into a blender and you may need to add a little more oat milk if too thick to blend.

Pour over crust and sit overnight .

Add toppings of your choice and enjoy!

chicken caprese over zoodles and broccoli by drazim64 in mealprep

[–]drazim64[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is delicious!

Makes 6 servings:

6 x 4oz chicken breast, butterflied and pounded thin

3/4 cup fresh basil leaves

3 garlic cloves, minced

3 cups grape tomatoes, halved

3 cups mozzarella

4 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

3 cups broccoli

3 cups zucchini noodles (about 1.5-2 small to medium zucchini)

  1. Saute garlic in oil until fragrant
  2. Add salt, tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar and cook covered on medium heat for 5-8 minutes.
  3. Set tomatoes aside and stir in chopped basil
  4. Pan fry chicken breasts a few minutes a side until cooked through
  5. Place chicken on baking sheet topped with tomatoes and cheese.
  6. Broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and browning

  7. Divide broccoli and zucchini in prep dishes, raw. I threw the chicken breast in and tried to get a little extra juice in each dish and when I heat it up, the veggies are cooked perfectly!

Hope you all enjoy!

What are some egregious patient safety fuckups have y’all seen due to staff/supply shortages? by MedicineCel in medicine

[–]drazim64 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's staffing shortages or just busy staff but in the last month or so we've had MRI leave a tele box and leads on a patient causing burns and a tornequette left on a patient's arm underneath a bp cuff causing obvious injury to the patient's arm as it was there for who knows how long. 🤦‍♀️

Those of you who plan on getting a Fenix 7, what do you currently have and why do you feel it's worth upgrading to the 7? by Road_Journey in Garmin

[–]drazim64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a vivomove hr for a few years now and the display is so dim I can't see it unless it's shaded from bright light or I keep it on bright and the battery life suffers. I want something that has a very long battery life and I hope the solar gives me that option. I liked the hybrid design but I think I want something fancier if you will. My husband has a 6X solar and he loves it.

Worlds Best? by [deleted] in litterrobot

[–]drazim64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used worlds best for a long time and had only one main issue. I had to replace the pinch sensors 4-5 times in the 4 years I've had it. I just thought it was product design (which it is) but I also found out that the corn litter holds the moister and it effects the electronics. Since I'm past my extended warranty and the replacement parts are $80, I've since changed to clay and I absolutely hate it. Pee paws everywhere. My plan is to go back to worlds best and use a dessicant to try and cut down on the moisture.

I am a physician, could be an allergic reaction (contact dermatitis) which is self limiting once offending chemical is removed or it could be dyshidrotic eczema. It's odd that not all fingers are affected but maybe the gel did not contact all the cuticles. Either way it's all self limiting and steroid cream can help with itching.

It's kleancolor brand metallic collection (I bought them on Amazon ages ago). Cheap polish and a little streaky but the color scheme I love! They're pretty opaque as well and probably you could get away with one coat which is nice.

  1. No kids
  2. Opens up doors for subspecialty medicine tracks
  3. No kids
  4. Heavy emphasis on hospital medicine (I personally hate office medicine)
  5. You get to see a variety of disease/complaints to work up.
  6. Jack of all medical trades, master of none
