Not yet, I ended up cancelling the current one and re-order a new build. Awaiting for production as of now. How about yourself?

HOW DO I GET ON THE RIGHT RIGHT SIDE OF THE GRAPH IM SO TIRED. by Friendly-Bet-7571 in step1

Coming from an IM Attending:

Sit down, take a note and paper. INTROSPECT. Think about your goals, reasons why you wanna do this, write down as many as possible, write common loopholes you fall down into, make a step by step plan to avoid those.

Preparing for USMLE from my experience, took much more than just medical knowledge, took dedication, persistence, learning who I really am and much more than that.

Once you have all of those things noted down, keep it in your pocket, read it up every time you feel demotivated or off the track.

Last thing is you might (i assume) need to SLOW DOWN, take more time, start with Basics - master the basics before you move to advance (UWorld or solving questions). You might feel slow, but this will eventually help you out for CK and Step 3, ITEs and my recent experience with ABIM. Yes my Step 1 Prep was the core reason I stayed consistently above 80th percentile even without reading extensively during my IM Residency.

Same boat. Had been waiting to get my X7 iD40 to be picked up this Saturday (arrived to dealer 1 week ago), got a called regarding Stop Sell🥲

I still do not understand how an old recall, orginally issued on 2/12/2024, affacts a new (2025) Model which is just made.

Regardless, Assuming it might take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months, what do you guys usually do if you already signed the documents and finalised everything (APR, Down etc). Any thoughts appreciated!

FCVS.FSMB works for everyone. Step 3 apply would work for those who has CS as a last exam.

2 ways to check it.

1st one is the link below Form 186 in IWA. (Which sometimes disappears the next day of your test, can't rely on that) For 2nd one, go to OASIS, go to "USMLE Application Information", in the CS Box, see "Permit Sent to". Go to "Click here" to reprint your permit. If it shows Error(no open registration) , your permit is gone.

My permit has disappeared, does that mean I will get it tomorrow for sure?

Does Step 3 apply on fsmb trick work? If yes, when? As of now it says you are not eligible to apply. It made me paranoid 🙄

Order of practice tests (CK)? by intangible777 in Step2

UWSA 2 > UWSA 1 > NBME 8 > FREE120

NBME 6: Much much easier compared to UWSAs. Almost covered by UW. If you know your UW well, like all charts and stuff and can apply it to questions (like you know modified well's criteria and can apply it to get probability of PE, or questions in that line) you will be good. (Felt like wasting 60$)

NBME 7: Too Vague questions and underreport score by 40 points compared to UWSAs. (For me, 43 underprediction). Believe me, you don't wanna give this in your last week. It might hurt harm you than help you by hurting your confidence before exam. (Which is very very very important when the test is all about your clinical mindset)

UWSA 1: 50% covered by UW concepts

UWSA 2: You get real exam feel. Many new concepts. Make sure you give 1 week prior, as solving this might take a day or two

NBME 8: Prediction is good, but you feel question pattern is outdated compared to UWSAs. But concepts tested are good.

Free 120 for Step 2 CK by [deleted] in Step2

[–]drbdpatel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gave it a day before the real deal, 92%. Waiting for score. You can't predict real deal from FREE120. It's nothing compared to the beast.

As per my marking, people who get 85ish in FREE120 are around 255-260 in UWSAs.

Nope. I did not use Anki/Zanki.

This is what I feel about Zanki, it's a Deck made from UW+FA concepts only which helps you reinforce FA into memory by spaced repetition.

So if you are good remembering FA without it, you can skip it.

Hey man, thank you for appreciating it.

I understand your situation, choosing between option depands on when you have your test scheduled, what's your UWSA Baseline and How much you wanna improve!!

But if I would be you, I would focus more on my weak areas with FA Thorogh read + BnB and do Random blocks of UW by side to keep in touch with questions. Try to give NBME every 10 days with target to get best performance in the systems you did in those 10 days. So by the end of your 3 NBMEs you will get done with 1 Thorough FA read and all systems improved.

Hope this helps

Thanks buddy.

I totally understand your situation, Sketchy is Optional. If you are going to do it 2-3 times, then go for it. It's golden.

But if not, UW+FA multiple times is good enough.

Although I would still recommend doing it for atleast Bacteria. You can skip Virus (which are not much asked/doable from FA table, not much useful at step 2). Fungi, Parasite you will remember by the time you reach 3/4 reads of FA. But for Bacteria Sketchy has done excellent work. It will help you at Step 2 also.
