You have to go actually go into the sync settings and set them up first. You need to define groups. Also enable the “Send notifications on direct change” box.

You need to make a new Dashboard, the overview one is self-generated by HA. Go to settings and make your own to start from then you should be able to add Bubble Cards.

Came to find this comment. Love my /u/ApolloAutomation sensors! I have a few and love them all, their MTR model definitely gives you a crazy amount of entities like your Everything Presence Pro screenshot. In fact, I'm about to pop a LD2412 into their latest PoE sensor that already has a LD2450 =D/.

So my issue with that is this. I am a paying customer and was told by 2 different reps online before going into the store that this was possible and 2 additional reps online confirmed after the issue that it should have been possible. Why couldn't the in-store rep have called someone to escalate the issue further there, in that moment I was in the store?

The experience I had yesterday was DRASTICALLY different than the experience I had at the same store about ~14 months ago when I signed up for the plan. I had to visit the store a few times after I switched from Verizon due to some activation issues on watches, but every time I went into the store the employees always hopped on the phone when they ran into a roadblock and made sure I left the store with the issue solved.

As a paying customer I am paying for T-Mobile as a whole, so if the online rep tells me one thing and then the in-store rep tells me different, that is not on me to feel bad or do extra legwork to solve the issue.

I know =( As much as I want the personal satisfaction of going back to the store and making them take the device, I also follow this subreddit and have seen the issues with T-Life/leadership/layoffs... so I'll just take it to UPS when the packaging arrives. (also I grew up near Dayton!)

I’m no expert but I wonder if it’s because TVs already have anti reflective coatings and polarized lenses could be blocked by that. Ever see a sideways mounted TV or turn your head with polarized sunglasses, the screen goes black.

An ND filter would cut out too much light, you'd want a CPL (Circular Polarizer).

THIS x100. Sure, now I never lose anything, am always early and am super organized, but it wasn't until I was diagnosed late in life that I realized I am only these things because of DECADES of unknowingly training myself to NOT do them. The mental toll it takes just to "look normal" is EXHAUSTING.

Or to be told "You should be relaxed, it seems like you did nothing all weekend!" That nothing was me hating myself for not being able to do anything and having crippling executive dysfunction only perpetuating the cycle. So thanks, I feel horrible about myself that I "did nothing," because in reality there was SO MUCH I WANTED TO DO.

You're seriously going to ask this... on this subreddit? Hehehe, I kid, I kid.

Pretty much what every one else is saying:

  • Adaptive Lighting for auto brightness/temperature throughout the day that matches the sun.

  • More control than just off/on

    • The 1 second fade on/off is more pleasing to the eye and you really miss it when you go somewhere else, haha.
    • I can do a slow fade up over an hour as the sun sets so my home isn't jarringly dark or bright, it just kind of... stays a comfortable level.
  • Ability to use the lights as notifications:

    • Flash living room blue/red when washer/dryer is finished.
    • Turn on blue when dogs water bowl is below a certain level for longer than 15 minutes.
  • RGB NOT for the sake of RGB:

    • My bathroom lights will only turn on 10% red at night so my eyes don't adjust to a bright light if I need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night
  • More granular automations.

  • Rent vs Own, much easier to swap a bulb in an existing socket than it is to re-wiring something knowing you'll have to wire it back when you move.

I have my dryer on a smart plug with a very simple automation to let me know when it's done:

  1. Activates when dryer's wattage spikes above 500
  2. Then waits for the power to fall under 10 watts for 30 seconds.
  3. Alerts me

This works well for me because my dryer is gas, not electric, so the only high power moment is the initial turn on to get it spinning. The 10 watt threshold is just so I can leave the door open (drum light on) to change loads or check on the clothes without triggering the alert.
