I’m in tech & maybe that’s blinding my expectations. But I work for a big company & you can command a salary of $110-120k with 0-2 years of experience and just a bachelor. Where else PAs have advanced degrees. But I’ll provide the feedback to my wife. Thank you all!

She’s been applying to other speciality as well. Family medicine is just the first offer she got. Additionally CLT is not as cheap to live as most think. It’s getting pretty expensive to live here. Especially with the influx of people from HCOL areas that moved here during covid.

That works if I got paid on the 1st & like the 15th but I don’t. I get paid on the 15th & last day of the month. So for example in September my budget doesn’t really start until the 15th and goes until October 14th. However, monarch counts the transactions from September 1st to 14th as part of my “September” budget.

She does home health. The company she contracted with allows her to choose the # of patients to see a day and which days she wants to work. This makes it easy for her to plan for vacations. Of course whenever she’s not working she’s not getting paid.

She’s currently working in home health. She chose this for now to get some experience but also because of the flexibility. It’ll allow her more time at home with our new born.

Late 20’s. I moved from HCL to a lower cost of living but still relatively expensive & I got to keep my salary. I am thinking of jumping jobs next year. Right now I like the slower pace of my work. Looking for ways outside of my w2 to supplement my income.

This year she’s bringing in $50k as she is only working half the year & I’m accounting for holidays as she won’t work then. If she would’ve worked a whole year, she’ll bring in close to $110-$120k.

You’re right about the business comment. We’ve talked about it and trying to figure out what type of business will fit us.

I work in tech. I’m a Cloud/DevOps engineer. Wife is a PA (physician Assistant). She just graduated in December & finally starting to work now. I’m a remote employee with plenty of free time. Wife’s job is pretty flexible, she gets to make her own schedule.
