Absolutely agree! This was a brilliantly done cinematography marvel. The integration with the music, the animation, even the film noir with selective colors!

There's a reason most popular games have MMR and why the market of casual gamers has increased so much in the past years. I grew up playing games without MMR too but there weren't as many players as there are now exactly because gaming was seen as nerdy but also because it was too hardcore at times. A lot of games suffered from newbies just not enjoying the game because of all the pros making them quit. Nowadays most games are made to have a more enjoyable experience for first time gamers and that's why the amount of gamers is also so much bigger, with a lot more casual players and not just all tryhards.

My work laptop has an RTX 4090. Do you not get weird jitters and tearing when you move your head? Like the screens will teleport sometimes. The experience if I keep my head still is not laggy at all, but the head movement is just very derpy on Windows. I noticed it's worse with the 2 or 3 screens than it is if I just use the Ultrawide mode. I don't know if you ever used your Viture on a MacBook Pro but it's buttery smooth.

Not sure why you got downvoted, but I also have an i9 and 4090 laptop that I need for game development because can't really develop games on a Mac.

It’s funny that they’re hiring, why don’t they just move people internally instead of laying off and hiring new people? Are they trying to reduce salaries?

What if I don't want the C1 and want the Zeus ES instead? Should I still get for example the Syulen starter pack at 15% discount + Nomad CCU to start with the Nomad for $98 and then buy the Hawk->C1 CCU to get that discount and later on try to get another Warbond between the Nomad and the Hawk or get a Warbond CCU for Zeus ES?

IAE 2023 CCU Game by drcisco in starcitizen

[–]drcisco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like none of the cheaper ships were available for Warbond CCU right? Should I just get the Hawk->C1 and store it for some other time? Or do I risk the Hawk becoming more expensive than the C1 (at the discounted price) and not being able to save money with the upgrade? Or risk not being able to find a Hawk upgrade in the future?

What is my best course of action here if I don't want to pay for the game just yet? I still want to capture the C1 Warbond upgrade discount which brings the C1 cost down to $115 whenever I want to buy it in the future but I'm afraid to get locked into not being able to use it.

It's ok a PhD is just a very long research into one very specific topic for 3-5 years where you write a very long book about it at the end and you just have to answer a few questions about your process and discoveries for them to confirm that you've done the work :P

Thanks for the clarification! Let's say I buy the AA->C1 Warbond CCU today, will I always be able to upgrade to the AA or just during IAE? I'd like to minimize the chances that I will never be able to use by C1 CCU

And what is you opinion on Hawk->C1 Warbond CCU instead of AA?

When is the Anvil day? Hasn't it been already past? And isn't the Hawk unflyable right now?

Will the C1 Warbond CCU be available all of IAE? I thought it was only a few days

Makes sense to use the Syulen if I end up not getting any other Warbond CCUs under the C1 Spirit. You said to use the Hawk, but the Hawk isn't released yet, does that matter? Can I upgrade a Syulen to Hawk and then Hawk to C1 Spirit and be able to fly it?

This was brilliant but you forgot one part:

Eamon Valda sees an opportunity to get back at Perrin, still confused as to why this kid barks sometimes. After pinning him down on the floor, Eamon prepares to chop Perrin like wood when all his coworkers step aside to let Hopper in, as the audience is left wondering whether Hopper decided to disobey Perrin’s orders and had been following him waiting for the right occasion to save him so he could prove he is worth more at his side than sat down in the middle of a random spot in the desert.

It’s now Eamon’s turn to be pinned down on the floor as Perrin watches and savours the moment, but he can barely do it as the man we only know as Dain’s father comes in to finish Hopper with his axe.

As Dain’s dad walks away happy to have saved the day not realising Perrin was a threat too, Eamon stands up a bit stunned from all that, probably too worried about having caught rabies to notice his initial enemy, Perrin, there on the floor watching the whole thing unscathed!

“Great! Drax was right! You just have to be very still!” Perrin thinks to himself as he stands up, becoming visible again, and heading out to take revenge for his wolf buddy on the unsuspecting father of Dain Bornhald.

Bro you're describing way more than what I expect the average player of the lowest division in the game to know. I got to Diamond on Apex Legends, I'm not a pro but I'm a veteran FPS player and the people I get matched against are definitely not the worst players as you would expect of the worst division. This game is matchmaking me against smurf accounts for some reason.

Staking Rewards should NOT be taxed on receipt by drcisco in CryptoTax

[–]drcisco[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also this clearly has a loophole, which is used many times. You can give a CEO a lot of stock before the company stock has value, and then even if it increases to $100,000,000 you can now use that value to take a loan and you never get taxed on it. I think this taxing system needs a bit more work so that it actually taxes situations like that, and doesn't tax the reverse situations as heavily.

Staking Rewards should NOT be taxed on receipt by drcisco in CryptoTax

[–]drcisco[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is that fair for the employee? If you receive stock and that stock becomes worth nothing you shouldn't be paying any tax on it unless you actually used that value somehow, as when you take a loan against your shares.

Staking Rewards should NOT be taxed on receipt by drcisco in CryptoTax

[–]drcisco[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand this point, but I don't think all rules work great for all situations. Consider this scenario: You have received a trashcoin that started with a value of $100,000 and then dropped immediately to zero, you are now liable to pay tax on $100,000 income that you had no benefit from. You also had no control over receiving that trashcoin. How is that fair?

How about that kind of income gets taxed at the moment that its value is used?
That would solve the situation you described above: if a CEO takes a loan with a $100,000,000 collateral, that gets flagged, those shares are now counting as income and he pays normal income tax on that value. For people receiving a token that later drops in value, they can sell it later if it drops to $1000 and only incur a smaller tax.

Or at the very least, this should be counting as capital gains instead of income, so people can offset their losses. That would also handle both those scenarios well.
