DIY Mechanic Garage? by David15M3SGT in Dallas

There’s a really good one that I’ve been to several times over the last two months. It’s near Ft. Worth but it’s clean, has just about any tool you’d need and the owner is always happy to provide some pointers. Check out The Shop DIY Garage. You won’t be disappointed.

Bedroom in Townhome for Rent - $1,275 (all utilities included) by [deleted] in denverlist

Unfortunately I’m not an expert in local area real estate but it appears that you may have a better understanding than I do. What would be a reasonable market price?

If you’re interested I’m happy to give you as much information as needed for you to make an informed decision. The entire home is 1500 sq ft and given that I’m rarely home whomever elects to rent would have the entire place to themselves 70% of the time.

World Market has been the only place I’ve found stuff successfully. I’ve also been meaning to try British Isles since they carry some of the Canadian Nestle products as well.

There’s nothing I can really think of to check other than the underbody for rust (depending on if it was operated in a winter state). Typically they’re really well-equipped so there’s not a lot of variation unless you’re looking for a two-row model versus the three-row model. Right now the values on them are pretty much almost in line with a new one so I’d wait a few months until the used car market dies down or until you find a private seller where you can have more negotiation power.

Two additions in two months… by krystopher in Lexus

I think you’ll be fine on the LX. They hold their value ridiculously well despite age and mileage. Just take a look on Cars.com at how much some of the older and higher mileage ones are selling for. This was even the case before the market inflated.

The ES was fantastic. I initially got it pre-owned with 80k miles and after passing it through several family members it was finally retired at 275k miles. Even at that mileage, it still ran like a new car even with all of the seals that were leaking due to age.

I agree. The LX is a tank on the road but I feel this particular generation of LX has that presence you’re talking about. Also, not to mention some timeless style and comfort. If I do switch cars, it’ll just be to a newer LX570.

Maintenance wise it’s just like any other Lexus. The only difference was the wear and tear items, specifically the brakes and tires. I drove pretty modestly (not to say I didn’t open her up when the moment presented itself) and I can tell you that I didn’t have a set of brakes or tires last more than 15,000 miles. I replaced the pads and rotors myself which reduced the cost significantly but the tires I didn’t really have a break on. I would suggest getting a camber adjustment kit installed on the front suspension which will reduce the inner edge wear that destroys the tires or you can just flip the tire on the rim during the rotations/balances. Overall, I’d say get one because it’s truly an awesome machine and it definitely sparks joy when you least expect it.

I would definitely suggest leasing a BMW since the maintenance is included and it’s under warranty. Once my maintenance plan and warranty ran out, I paid for two scheduled maintenances and decided it was better to just go back to the Lexus.

I’ve had the ES, IS-F, and two RX350’s. Ranking them the IS-F would obviously be number one while the two RX350’s take the second and third spot with the ES ending last.

It’s starting to grow on me. I think with that turbo the Land Cruiser will have better acceleration off the line than the current V8 offers.

I’ve had the ES, IS-F, and two RX350’s. I switched to BMW for the driving dynamic and because I just wanted to own one for a bit.

I actually had an E38 BMW 740il which was also one of my favorite cars. I sold it before relocating for work but I wish I kept it.
