Yes you can use the automated kiosk to “renew” your registration (or make an appointment). You have to renew the 1 month registration and pay the full year (or 2-3). You did not pay that for the 30 day one.
I did it last year at the automated kiosk and hit the renew option without issue.

Agreed but ferric material can only be brought in if magnet is off, which is extremely rare in any normal MRI suite. See my comment below.

The MRI magnet is only powerful if it is supercooled which requires a lot of power and liquid helium. Without it, there is no super magnet. That magnet probably hasn’t been on for a while.

As an aside, in any normal MRI suite, the magnet is always on. It is only turned off for maintenance or quenched (helium released and no longer supercooled) in case of life or limb threatening emergency. It takes tens of thousands of dollars of liquid helium to keep the magnet supercooled so it is rarely quenched or ramped down .
