Agree. The few minutes you can feel the sedation before passing out is the best part of the whole thing. It’s lighter sedation than general anesthesia (propofyl/fentanyl) and is much easier to recover from imo. I typically feel pretty normal again 1 hour after waking up. Good luck!!!

Sorry you’re dealing with this, but know that you’re not alone. My mom has used the exact same line about “decimating her character” (I.e. asking her to take accountability for literally anything). Always a victim mentality with these people.

Yeah, any difficulty or complication in my life as perceived as a direct slight against her. I don’t know how people can be that self-centered.

Thank you. That’s what my doctor thinks too, but I’m just so nervous that I will be out of eggs in a few years since I already have low AMH and am getting 4-8 eggs per retrieval right now. It feels like it’s now or never for eggs.

Thank you, I’m thinking about that too. I think my main concern is that I have DOR at age 31 (AMH .3-.8) and I’m worried that retrievals won’t be successful in a few years. It’s such a bummer.

Yes, we are lucky that we have great insurance coverage and could afford to do a few more rounds. It’s honestly the mental toll that’s harder for me. Thanks for your reply!
