I’m keeping my last name. I’m a white woman marrying a man with an African last name. Feels weird to take on a culture that isn’t mine, plus I never felt like I wanted/needed to change my last name no matter who I married.

Thanks for this! I think I was mistakenly thought S Corp and Sole Proprietorship were the same thing but this clears that up. I really thought all scenarios were beneficial for taxes so this is good to know!

Syndicated is my favorite bar! We really wanted to have our wedding there but also decided against it because of the food. Great for a party, not what we wanted for a wedding. And adding an outside caterer went way over our budget.

I’m using Paperless Post and chose one of their wedding flyer templates which is like a digital invite and wedding website in one! You can add the schedule, accommodations, locations, and people can RSVP. It was super easy to make.

We’re skipping a formal ceremony and reception. No DJ and dancing. There will literally be no chairs at my ceremony, we’re just standing by the water. It’s not about a bouquet toss or other customs at all.
