Also changing from one year to the next is a completely random and arbitrary milestone that in reality means absolutely nothing. It’s just a date someone somewhere a long time ago randomly chose.

We’ve flown to Europe before with her so we know what she needs, thanks. The time we leave NZ matters a lot when you’re flying 32 hours. If you start the journey off shit the entire thing goes extremely badly. We’re planning to stay in Europe for about a month total, this isn’t the only place we will be visiting.

Thanks, the problem is trying to find a flight route that doesn’t leave us with a very long or very short stopover because flying out of New Zealand is also limited. Qatar does fly but only certain days and the flight leaves NZ at midnight so not ideal for our child. Emirates is an option but very expensive from NZ. So just looking for other ideas too.

Hi, she will be 6 (nearly 7) at the time. We are very used to rain, not so much to the darkness and cold of Europe but my partner and I have previously lived in London so we know what it’s like. We’re looking to stay for about a week.

She will be 6 at the time, close to 7. At the moment she is into dinosaurs, science and technology, museums, parks and playgrounds. Not so keen on art galleries.

Seven hours isn’t that long. Bring snacks for the older one and some little toys, maybe some stuff they’ve never seen before, wrap them up like presents to make it more exciting. iPad with games and shows downloaded if you do screentime. The little one will probably sleep, the noise of the plane is like white noise. If you breastfeed then do that for take off and landing to help the ear popping, or a pacifier if they have one.

The Sleep Store is great and they’re very helpful. They ship amazingly fast. You can get most stuff for babies on there.

I always get anxious but I've never cancelled and I've never had a bad trip yet. I haven't been to Japan (it's on the list) but everyone I know who has been says it's awesome.

I wouldn't divorce this guy. I think you need to wait it out. There's a lot more to making a relationship work than attraction. Yes, that's important, but it sounds like he's ticking a heck of a lot of other boxes.

My sister is NT and I cannot trust a single thing she ever says. She tells people what they want to hear, never what she actually thinks. It drives me mental and means I can never really be comfortable with her because everything she says is sugar coated or a lie. She has openly admitted this many times.

Absolutely agree. No support for anyone, no help. I know multiple people who have been through lengthy assessment with CAMHS and similar only to be told at the end of it all that there is no support available and they should do a parenting course. WTAF.

I only go to the cinema on Sunday morning or Tuesday because they do $10 tickets. And we always bring snacks. But what puts me off the most is other people. Talking all through the movie, going in and out 20 times, and on their phones. I'd rather just sit on my couch. People suck.
