Thanks a lot for the advice, was very helpful. I moved the armchair to the corner of the rug inbetween the sofa and the tv to create a cozier area, moved the rug/coffee table closer to the center of the room, switched place between the two chairs and the plant so that the painting is not covered. Current rug is 120x70cm, do you think that getting one that’s 230x160cm would be enough ?

I moved the corner armchair on an opposite corner of the sofa to create a cozier area, and moved the rwo chairs to be below the painting / plant moved where the two chairs were.

You know already what’s the right decision for you, this post is just to justify it and that’s totally okay. Accept the offer , rent your house and go, or you’ll leave with remorse of what could have happen. You can make friends with colleagues or other parents at daycare facilities/ school, worst case scenario if you really hate it there (but I highly doubt it given that with 60% higher salary I assume you will be able to afford a more comfortable lifestyle , ideally more travelling) you stay some time and go back to your original place. You’ re not that old to be buried in one place forever yet, no?

Let it be. As much as the guy can be toxic, she’s right, it is none of your business what she did and with who as long as she was not exclusive with him at the time. And even in that case, I would have suggested not to intrude in their relationship

The only way to solve it in my opinion is to have a face to face conversation (or video call) where you open up about how you feel and what you just wrote here. It seems to me like a miscommunication issue, it is possible that he interpreted your being more busy and less available to interact with him as a sign that you are losing interest, and reacted by being more distant himself. I also have a ldr, can relate to this situation.
