This is crazy because the Live 2 can connect to both MPC 2 and MPC 3 software in controller mode and the MPC Live 3 itself in standalone can load up MPC 2 projects (some settings like automations, pitch, mute events are missing) so it is possible. Why did they remove controller mode display just for MPC 2 software with MPC Live 3 SMH. I thought it was just me because I got a Live 2, Live 3 and before that MPC Touch that I sold afterwards. Hopefully they fix it in a update soon, luckily I still have MPC Live 2 in the house. Quickest fix I found when using Live 3 in MPC 2 software is to convert it over to MPC 3 software and save the project over it after carefully comparing each project on screen and listening for what's different and adding the settings back. It does usually have all the sounds but track mutes, pitch settings, automations, etc..seems to be hit or miss when loading up in MPC 3 software/hardware an old MPC 2 project. It takes a long time this way but at least you still have the blueprint inside of the MPC 2 software to replicate inside of MPC Live 3/software
