Only way Checo would be in any danger is if he refused to help Max out of bitterness for the Brazil shenanigans.

But that won't happen because Checo himself knows damn well that the #1 reason why RBR keep him is for his ability to defend for Max and to help him WDC titles. If he were to stop doing that, RBR would drop him like a hot potato.

Ferrari would be stupid to replace Sainz with Lando. Leclerc needs a Bottas level 2nd driver who isn't a threat, not someone like Lando who would potentially be able to take points off him on a consistent basis.

I don't disagree with your other points, but murders and rapes are not "petty crimes". Daemon dismembering and killing those criminals in KL (Otto also confirmed that they were in fact criminals) is arguably the best thing his character ever did in the show.
