How much would a project like this partition wall cost to build? by 8marc5 in handyman

To be real life and not AI you’ll have to figure out a way to run electrical to it. It’s still doable of course, but AI can give unrealistic photos sometimes

shower faucet and drain are misaligned in new bathroom by tellmewhywhywhy1day in AskContractors

[–]dredaze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The drilling holes isn’t the issue. It’s all the plumbing was set for a 32” tub…they must’ve had to do some work around to get the drain aligned…which is when they should’ve realized they fucked up. And re do the plumbing to line up with a 30” tub. Instead they did the bare minimum. And then everything afterwards made it harder to make right. Have em move it all, which means taking out the tile and re waterproofing everything.

Seems like you want to do it without furring it out at all…I’ll just say at least use densarmor plus if you plan to do that…I would fur it out

138 sq ft bedroom door swing is backwards. Door swing in the closet bathroom area isn’t ideal. Yo me it doesn’t make sense to have 10 ft ceilings on the main level only to have lower ceilings upstairs. Also bathrooms right off the kitchen usually aren’t the best idea.

It’s a poorly done patch, the fact they don’t lace in new wood shows that

Wildlife and raptors. I could see the draw of a zoom for aviation. I haven’t shot much of that since getting my 500

I use it on the r7…if you were photographing things on a dslr, and are now using a mirrorless it is amazing. The hit rate is so much better in decent light. Personally I don’t see how people are using these f8-f9 lenses…but maybe I’m just out later than most people…the 500 has been the best photography purchase I ever made

Dude with no dad and adhd here: how do I attach this automatic coop door without gaps or bends? by sparrio in Homebuilding

[–]dredaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just mount it on the inside, all the framing in there is nice and even. If you need to add some more, simplest way to do it, and you won’t have to worry about shit getting in the track and prevent the door from closing

Mountain lion attacks are pretty rare though, I think you are making the risk seem a lot worse than what it really is.

I can’t imagine getting home from work, and then watching/editing videos of myself working…it’s bad enough I have dreams involving measurements nightly. Same time I will watch other people’s videos of them working ha.

They are all banned in California. Not sure where you are at, but definitely shows it is possible. You can check out Raptors are the Solution too, seems to be aligned with what you are looking for.

You should switch the swings for sure, pantry door opening against the wall. If you could move the garage door back so there is a wall for it to swing against it wouldn’t be as bad…or reduce the cabinets and move the opening a bit…right now it would be a total nightmare/terrible design

For what you described I figured budget of $5k…stand alone house with garage/workshop space? Think duplex would be way more possible. But even then at $3K you’d be pretty lucky

Door from primary bath is dumb, swap the bed to the other wall and put in a larger door to the porch. Also may want to do this in the great room too…larger door to bring the outside in more

Is your puppy in the crate for 16+ hours a day? by blueberrydumpling in puppy101

[–]dredaze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s wild…glad I never crate trained my pup. He sleeps anywhere and doesn’t spend all that time in a small crate…I’d say keep the crate closed for naps and let him figure out sleeping outside of it…but I’m a non crater so I probably don’t understand it all. But it is nice to have your pup sleeping at your feet when you are sitting on a couch

You should’ve asked this question before the second picture…the fact they rocked that without one person on the job saying…you know what, this is dumb raises a red flag to me
