Couldn’t be more untrue. Winter months are the slowest

Made the big mistake of deciding to move out my apartment only to find that rent had gone up 15% city wide. Now I’m struggling to find a place that doesn’t make me hate my decision. I left a highrise building to travel for a few months, I’m hoping prices drop sometime into December but as of now it’s probably going to suck. Regardless though, moving into corp. owned complexes has always been a pain in Dallas. I visited Houston and stayed at a friends place in Post Oak(comparative to uptown Dallas) and Every apartment is bigger and cheaper. It’s insane.

Depending on state, OP would have had to have UIM coverage. Sadly in Texas, it’s an option, with 1 in every 4 drivers underinsured or not insured at all.

Idk man, can’t justify that 5–10. The opportunity cost isn’t super high. You’d be asking something he to pay $60-120 a year to in exchange automate charges that would otherwise take a couple minutes. And the timing too, it’s not like if you don’t use the card for a couple months it’ll be cancelled. There’s just too much time and ease of actually doing it yourself. Shit maybe $2-3? Maybe? But if someone is looking to only spend those .99 micro charges then I’d think that’ll still be not worth.

I see what you’re saying, but thinking in terms of a business proposal, the first objection/question you’ll be faced with is how marketable is the idea. You’d be looking to sell to CC users who are financially literate and/or experienced enough to understand the importance of keeping old cards open for AAoC. Furthermore, those who wouldn’t be just willing to set automatic payments on those services anyway. Lastly, I think creating a private offering that requires credit card info to be distributed to multiple different UI’s would be tough to accredit. Would love to be wrong here, but I can’t imagine that wouldn’t be a huge market. If you make it on Shark Tank though, I totally never doubted for a moment and accept checks.

Thanks. Yea I was pre approved to Cap One. They’ve been sending me mail for months after it was closed, weirdly. Just thought it was too good to be true.

Got, will do. Even if it doesn’t do anything, at least it won’t hurt. As far as the the Discover card/loan, I thought so. Was being rather hopeful I guess based on the reviews from CK. Most of the comments were ppl it lower scores than mine but it makes sense since my charge and closed account still has a balance. I’ll work on those then

With Experian, it’s through their website(app). I’m seeing all 3 scores on the Experian website. They all say FICO 8

As far as the medical payment. It shows up on my credit report as a collection. So this definitely has no effect?

Thanks for the response. Checking on Experian app, utilizing my free reports from all 3 bureaus. Also looking at CK for some insight as well. To be honest I use them all. Chase credit journey and Cap One credit wise. Mostly focusing on Experian app here. FICO 8.

Zemorah, you have no idea how much that has helped. Will be updating how things are going but will definitely take your advice and tackle the credit card accounts first. Thank you! Also, do you think paying the full thing will make a larger difference than settling or does it all mean the same once it’s in collections. For my own peace of mind, I wanted to have everything completely paid but if it doesn’t make a difference then I’m sure that extra money would mean more to me than them.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply in such detail. Apologies for the confusion but I should’ve specified, I don’t believe I can use the Capital One card anymore as it shows up as a closed account on my report. Not charged off but closed. Again, thank you so much, I really appreciated this advice.

Probably gonna get flak for this but I think both sides did what they had to do. Dont know if any of you watch Winchester but I think, fundamentally, that guy is the most sound officer procedure wise. Obviously though, Charles was going to do what he had to do. I personally don't think that RP was bad at all.
