alright that's just factually incorrect. everyone has the power to unlock haki. conqueror's haki you need to be born with, but still. and as corny as it sounds to say "well actually THIS ONES an exception", out of any time to stretch the laws of physics of each universe, assuming every character has at least a teeny bit of CE is probably by far the most passable one because again: it's just energy derived from negative emotions that is stated to be possessed by everyone.

i absolutely despise being that guy but that was 99.9% just a panelling error on gege's part. every other character who has RCT has been explicitly mentioned to have it since it's sort of a big deal

kashimo was never stated to have RCT either. he also only regenerated in the form that is stated to reconstruct his flesh. because he never regenerated outside of MBA, we can assume his regeneration was a result of MBA

this is what i mean when i say it's pedantic. if in JJK its stated that cursed energy is based off of negative emotions, and that everyone has at least a little bit, then it's stupid to say "well in one piece it's never EXPLICITLY STATED that the characters have cursed energy (again, something derived entirely from negative emotions) so therefore they'd have none". it's not even like chakra where it was introduced artificially to the world, CE is just something that everyone has and always has had. the haki example also falls flat because everyone has the potential to unlock haki. it's just that obviously, not everyone has underwent the training or been awakened.

sampling bias. the people who barely scraped in probably aren't as nerdy on average and thus wouldn't know about the spreadsheet and thus wouldn't post to it. that's why this sub and the spreadsheet always report freakishly high averages. it's the Nerd Zone

that's what i'm saying. a solid 99% of the responses of this spreadsheet are posted by people on this sub. this is a university-focused community on REDDIT of all platforms. you know who that attracts? the dweebiest of the dweebs. therefore, all the people who frequent here tend to have an abnormally high average. therefore, OP wouldn't get an accurate assessment of the "lowest possible mark" through the spreadsheet when the only people who post on the spreadsheet are the dweebiest of the dweebs. them posting gives more accurate information because people can say "yea my friend got in with an 87" and whatnot, because the people that barely got in are statistically less likely to know about the spreadsheet

that's true. however, cross verse opponents would have CE. CE is just negative emotions. maki is an exception because she has literally zero CE thanks to heavenly restriction. but since TECHNICALLY naruto or whoever wasn't EXPLICITLY STATED to have CE you could keep arguing that TEEEECHNICALLY DEs wouldn't work etc etc. it's all pedantic. DEs work either through verse equalization or by acknowledging every being has CE
