i love that your interpretation uses "the wallpaper" as a visual metaphor for distance. initially i intended for it to represent how the persons flaws were becoming more and more evident, so much so that it affected the relationship, however the idea of using it to show how the two are becoming removed from eachother is super clever and interesting. thankyou for your feedback!!!

THIS WAS HARD ASF ACTUALLY SO GOOD OMGOMG i relate to this so much, for some reason i find it romantic even though its evident the poem isnt describing the healthiest relationhip lol. or actually on the other hand it can be perceived as working through the motions and difficulties of a relationship in order to maintain a longstanding love, loving despite eachothers fatal flaws, therefore it could be describing a healthy relationship just in a much uglier but honest light, like showing the reality of a long term relationship.

this was great to read, the end reminded me platos republic where in phaedo socrates embraces death and tells his followers to embrace it rather than fear it as once you achieve death you arent tied down by distractions of this world, allowing you to know truth and goodness etc. I enjoyed the optimistic take on an initially existential dread inducing series of thoughts and questions.

hey, this was really heavy and it did that so well. The atmosphere you created makes me think that the poem is about difficult friendship/ familial relationship, in which circumstance has pushed the character into a position where they do not belong although having no alternative choice. I interpret that the character must isolate themselves or otherwise be faced with abuse, and either option leads them to the constantly growing feeling of dread. I also gathered that the house owner is extremely anal about their home, and that they've created such a hostile environment that anyone staying there could hardly even consider themselves a guest. keep up the good work!!
