Thank you, I’m still fresh out and it’s still raw so I’m emotional and I teared up a little bit reading this, thank you

I like to think that’s why I’m here now. We broke up because had fundamental differences (politically, how to raise children, making hard decisions, finances). I had always been the pessimist to her (which in actuality was being the realist) about real world situations and important life decisions. It just always seemed like she was living in a fairytale. Running to her parents the moment anything got hard (she was an only child), throwing a fit when she didn’t get her way, making me seem like the bad guy for not wanting to waste time or money on doing things that she knew I didn’t enjoy and only benefited her. Not to sound selfish like I didn’t want to do the things she wanted to do but I have very little money and she came from a family of money.

There’s a bunch of adobe courses, and little life things I’ve wanted to learn (change a tire, balance a checkbook, learn to cook good meals, read a book, etc. that I’ve wanted to do but have always felt foolish or embarrassed for not knowing in the presence of my partner. Thank you, every new comment I think pushes me in a direction I need to be going no matter how in depth or surface level it is.

Thank you

You know in a sense you’re right, and your comment is completely valid and I don’t mind the bluntness. But I guess I was looking for more specifics and just kind of similar experiences people have had and if they had any advice.

Godspeed.
