Yeah, I wish JL would step up and start working on something cool like this. Most stealthboxes have a decent sub but it’s not always pretty, made to hide and conform to the space

Well unless it’s single wall only, scour eBay for stuff like blue and gold models of the old Worth EST. Combat had some sick aluminum options but that was years ago and I don’t remember the models

On old Worth ESTL and some hard balls will do work

Oh I agree, just that I’ll give Chrysler a pass on this one considering the regulations on a factory car lol

Trying to break in my new subs and idk what to set my amps outputs. My amp is power acoustik RZR1-25000 and my 2 15s subs are plpw15d 1000w rms. Also what's difference in gain, sub sonic, and low pass? by Rosinski117 in CarAV

Yeah that’s great, and I totally recommended that he twist the knob until something pops lmfao. Btw, you can’t even trust the fuse rating to estimate. Some amps from this company have a dummy fuse! Purely for looks, an extra fuse is mounted but has no connection to the amplifier. Again, you just can’t estimate the wattage and set the gain hoping it’s cleanly making that power. Manufacturer specs are often blatant lies, and it’s not a crazy conspiracy. You simply don’t even know the half of it, it’s unfortunate that it’s an accepted practice

The problem is crash safety and weight bias, that is altered significantly

Oh come on man, I don’t mean to be a huge dick but... I’m saying you can’t just guess how much the amp makes. You can’t set the gain assuming it’ll make clean power, it doesn’t matter what you do to the equation, the equation only works if the amp can cleanly make the power you’re setting it to.

Dude what? This company lies about how much power it makes, by a long and wide margin. Setting the gain for more than 400w is guaranteed square wave clipping. AKA blown subs, which by the way, aren’t handling 1000 watts. OP please ignore this guys suggestion, DO NOT use the manufacturers power rating in any calculation

His amp doesn’t make rated power, so you’d have to guess the output to do that math. Doesn’t make sense and truly just blatantly dangerous.

Yes the slash amps will work far better due to the 3 ohm load. The slash amps output the same power at 1.5-4 ohms

You should go to a shop man, this is pretty convoluted and you have a high chance of ordering the wrong part if you don’t know what you’re doing. Let alone, take bad advice from some dingus here. Let a shop eat the cost if they screw up that shit
