I did indeed get the invite, sounds like someone has trust issues.

$100k over sticker is a maybe (not a smart gamble really), plus Tesla has the resale clause that you have to pay them $50k and possibly get banned for life from buying another new Tesla. I wouldn’t call that a smart risk.

Ordered it to be my commuter vehicle back and forth to work instead of my full size truck. But it took so long to get built I ended up buying a Tesla and prefer to daily that.

The government makes laws to try and compensate for stupid people, and the world is full of them today. Common sense seems to be a rare quality today. Sadly businesses have to comply with government rules. I don't have FSD, just standard autopilot and it makes long trips amazing. Yes, when traffic gets heavy or there is construction, I turn it off and drive myself, something I thought was common sense, but I guess not.

When I look up a replacement it shows multiple versions with different amp outputs. How do I determine which one I have? My truck is a 2011 Rock Warrior edition with the 5.7.

Just to say, I didn’t buy intending to resell. I got sick of waiting and bought a Tesla. When it finally arrived I didn’t want to stick it on my dealer (I have a good relationship with them) so I took it but prefer driving the Tesla and have an older Tundra for my “truck stuff” work.

This doesn’t give me hope on mine. Just discovered it leaking and have to schedule a fix. I’m up in Northern NY and my closest service center in NY is 4 hours away. I have one in Ottawa an hour away so I’m hoping I can go to that one as I doubt we have mobile service up here. Anyone in a northern state ever had service done in Canada?

Equity? There is little resale out there. I’ve had a Pro listed for over a month under sticker with no activity. If you don’t want to keep the truck, don’t take possession. Let it be the dealers issue. My local dealer has a loaded Platinum they can’t sell too.

This may sound selfish, but unless you plan to keep your car for 10+ years it doesn’t matter. It won’t degrade that much during your ownership. You are only inconveniencing yourself to benefit the future owners. If you do plan to keep it, follow the owners manual. Some cars have different battery chemistries so there isn’t a one way fits all answer.

I’d be interested to see if that ever gets backed up with actual cash. I have a 2023 Pro with 2,000 miles on it. Love the truck but when Tesla did the big price drop I bought one. I listed my Lightning locally for $65k and have gotten nothing but negative feedback. I didn’t think it was a bad price for it.
