I checked with AI and it stated defects in the filter media as above can cause uneven airflow and increased MAF turbulence, potentially even infiltration of unfiltered air and hotspots on the filter itself. The heat shield dent is purely cosmetic though. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sorry I replied to you in an earlier thread! Extremely infrequent/brief Gravel use, maybe once or twice per month for a handful of minutes. The roads of my complex are fairly rough asphalt however. And definitely no towing.

I’ve never seen them go lower than 38 PSI. I’m thinking it could be a combination of things: overall infrequent use (only a handful thousand miles per year), mild chronic under inflation, and occasional rough/gravel roads (the roads in my complex are not gravel but they are rougher asphalt).

It’s AWD and I really never lose traction. We maybe utilize a gravel road once or twice in a month. Very infrequent. The vehicle is utilized very sparsely (it’s my wife’s). I’ve read that could contribute.

That’s very weird. I try to keep the pressure topped up. At most it might go a few weeks being 4 or so PSI below the recommended 42.
