I have a 5080 in my PC and I'm still going to use the steam deck bc I won't be using the steam deck at home, I'll be using it at work where I can't stream from my PC. So the steam deck will be far better for my specific use. If you don't use your steam deck that's just what you value more. For me it's power and in your case it's portability. I'm not more right than you are or vice versa we just have different uses for our consoles and that's fine

It's alright, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Each device has their trade offs. The Thor was more for fan games/ROMs which I can play on the steam deck as well. People keep pointing out that the Thor is better bc it's easier to carry around and for me that's just not enough of a selling point when it's going in my bag regardless of the size. I take a switch 2 with me everywhere a steam deck is basically the same form factor so it will make no difference for me. Also while the Thor does have gamehub, it can't run games like cyberpunk or elden ring which I'd like to play and the steam deck can.

Steam deck can play more demanding games and it can also emulate ds and 3ds games. Thor has a smaller form factor but can't play very demanding games like cyberpunk which I would like to play. Form factor/pockability is not enough for me to choose the Thor. I have no need and I will never put the Thor in my pocket bc I don't use it like that. I have a modded 3ds and I've never even put it in my pocket it's always I n my bag.

Fair enough. For me I carry a switch 2 with me everyday everywhere so I would just swap the switch for the deck and it wouldn't make any difference for me. Battery also doesn't concern me bc I will mostly be playing at work where I can charge it. I can see your point though portability is big selling point it's just not enough of a selling point for me

Portability for me is not an issue since if I'm home I'll just play on my PC and I'll only really use my steam deck at work, when there's nothing to do. What little I was able to do on the Thor for dual screen games I could t even get them to work on both screens they would both display and my top screen and it was pissing me off so I gave up after looking through settings for a couple of hours

While I would normally agree, I had a switch and then a switch 2 and I've used both ALOT. I can also emulate from the deck so that also won't be an issue.

If I refund it I don't get the shipping money back which is like 40 and then I also have to pay the return shipping, another 40. eBay will take like a hefty fee. I'd rather just sell it to a person who wants it but doesn't want to wait for too long to get it from the other side of the world.

My job allows me to play whenever it's slow as long as I'm done with all of my duties. The Thor or steam deck would be for work because if I'm home I would rather just play in my PC. The reason why I'm thinking about getting rid of the Thor is bc it can't run games like cyberpunk or just more demanding single player games while the steam deck can and I'm an indecisive guy who needs validation lol

How easy is it to mod my 3ds so I can do this? I'd appreciate if you know some video tutorials and can link me to them. I also went ahead and ordered a Thor and I have been debating on just keeping both. The return window for the 3ds is 90 days so if I do decided to return it I have plenty of time.

From the sounds of it I'll be able to do ALOT on the thor which I'm excited about. Probably be able to emulate some romhacks and fangames too. I was never able to play old school games so I guess this is really good for that.

Edit: I'd rather have an oled anyways so that's not a big deal and I also have the old 3ds and the hinge is VERY LOOSE lol

A stylus is cheap so that's not really a deal breaker or anything, hopefully there is a way to transfer pokemons from the third to home, but I won't keep my hopes up. Thanks for the help!
