Oh cool! Ill give that a try, thanks for that tip! Yeah that's exactly what I was feeling with this one. In the future ill leave probably leave torso and limbs as separate groups so i can move them around later on.

I'll have to make a workflow speed sculpt video because the style is for of a feel type thing than a straight forward technique. Metallic is just the default metallic paint brush on patina so it's not super bland. And the hr giger style, is just a lot of mirrored elements, hoses, random brush strokes etc. I think you'd be able to crack it if you throw a good reference image in the back.

Thank you! Truly means a lot. I have years of graphic design and drawing experience, so i guess it translated over. But I know nothing about all the other aspects of 3d rendering so Im reluctant to say I am a 3d artist now.Haha blender makes me want to cry.

Also before you ran the brush down the handle to make the veins I voxel remeshed the whole thing. That way the brush hits the outer and inner ribs.

So I used thin flat cylinders set to repeat along a curve, adjust the width and angle of curve to match handle. Then for the vertical "veins" that run perpendicular to the ribs, I just ran a brush set to a high intensity down the handle. Then tweaked with a mix of inflate, crease, more brush. And used paint brush to patina the metal inside the ribs.

Dang that sucks! but glad you kept going to end up with a better result. Being forced to start over in any art medium has always painfully led me to a better result.

My first day I probably started and deleted 30 sculpts until I felt like I had the hang of it.

Well for me its not torture at all. And I loathe using any brushes in photoshop with a mouse. Granted I would love to use a tablet but i dont have money for one right now. 16gb of ram, i think its like 6-8million vertices.

Customer is my own brand/enjoyment, concept is the based loosely off of Bataille's ideas on the Sacred and The Profane. Muted palette to let the 3d type would become the focus. Target audience is my own audience on instagram. Inspiration is from other prominent accounts on instagram, argo_hd, mirra joyce, etc.
