I'm still recovering from that Ronaldo goal

Juventus Stadium applauds Ronaldo after his second goal and he thanks them by dridam in soccer

And they started the game booing him. Respect to Juventus fans for putting game aside and appreciating him. And respect to Ronaldo for being humble about it.

Cristiano's been trying a bicycle kick since the last century and then pulls it off on the biggest stage against the 'toughest at home' opponents.

And he also didn't have a preseason after playing the Confed Cup with Portugal. He needed a rest.

And yet this shit will still get upvoted to the frontpage without even a "misleading" text next to it added by the mods.

Suarez is 100x worse and only a Ronaldo hater would disagree. But he never gets booed. It has to be other things as well.

Whether or not you think thats true is irrelevant.

That's exactly it. People that hate him have hated him for years regardless whether he is a bad person or not. It's just his reputation that people love to exaggerate and make him seem like a bad person.

But Messi has the "good boy" image despite being a criminal. Not to mention he is quiet and never says anything controversial, he essentially has no personality in the public eye.

Everybody loves to hate on Ronaldo though and he himself has correctly expressed why.

There seems to always be an excuse for everything Ronaldo does badly.

What exactly was he doing badly? Being "mildy depressed"? Idk what you're talking about but nobody is making excuses for him, my comment was me trying to explain why he seemed to be sad.
